POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
In celebration of Women’s History Month, it is our distinct honor to uplift the legendary journey of TraeAnna Holiday (@traeholiday). Trae is much more than a media personality; she is a visionary, a powerhouse, and the heartbeat of our community.

Her journey is rooted in the power of authenticity and the impact of staying true to one’s roots. From the defiant mission of “putting paint where it ain’t” in the Central District to becoming “Seattle’s Oprah,” Trae has never wavered in her commitment to uplifting and amplifying the voices that deserve to be heard.

We’ve watched her grow from the back-room production of Community Corner to leading the Morning Update Show with a grace and spirit that is simply unmatched. As we roll out Season 4 of The Day With Trae, her energy and optimism continue to light the way for us all.

Trae, we honor you—not just for what you do, but for the woman and leader you are. You have flourished in your purpose and, in doing so, have helped an entire community to flourish alongside you.

The journey continues, and the very best is yet to come!

The brand offers a unique guest experience by integrating curated music playlists featuring emerging artists across R&B, hip-hop, rap, and Punjabi genres.

The annual Bull Stewart Alki Beach Powerlifting Classic recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades as the Pacific Northwest’s premier and longest-running outdoor powerlifting event. Founded by Bull Stewart (@bull.stewart) and his wife to support their family and promote local fitness, the initiative has expanded from a neighborhood endeavor into a major institution. Today, the program encompasses two fitness centers and trains athletes ranging from ages 12 to 90.

Beyond physical endurance and record-setting lifts, the event brought together a supportive, family-like community. Powerlifter Jessi “Warrior” Allen-Garibaldi praised the inclusive environment, which welcomed lifters of all backgrounds and physical abilities, including elders, amputees, and people with hip replacements.

A priority of Bull Stewart's mission is giving back to the community through youth development and drug-free athletics. Partnering with organizations like the Amateur Athletic Union (@aausports), the program has guided numerous young athletes toward winning state and world titles while earning college scholarships. By instilling values of hard work and consistency, the event continues to leave a lasting impact on future generations.

On a special episode of The Day With Trae, host Trae Holiday (@traeholiday) sat down with cast members Nadia Brown (@naughtya_or_nice) and Rachel Leslie (@rachel.l.leslie) from the touring production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, currently running at Seattle's Paramount Theatre (@stgpresents).

Nadia Brown, who plays Rose Granger-Weasley, opened up about starting as a shy child in New Jersey and the resilience needed to navigate the acting industry's dry spells. #TheDayWithTrae - Prolific writer and poet Rajnii Eddins (@bakarirajnii) recently joined host Trae Holiday (@traeholiday) on The Day With Trae in the Black Media Matters studio to discuss the power of Black creativity and narrative ownership. During the conversation, Eddins reflected on the 35-year history of the African-American Writers Alliance (AAWA) (@africanamericanwritersalliance) and its mission to provide an empowering, self-validated space for Black storytellers to counter systemic exclusion.

In a climate where efforts to suppress underrepresented narratives are increasing, Eddins and Holiday discussed the importance of preserving these creative spaces. Eddins emphasized that unity, literacy, and active engagement with legacy-based organizations are essential for persevering through challenges.

Eddins highlighted the upcoming n-Word Conference, scheduled for October 16th through the 18th at Mount Zion to celebrate the AAWA's 35th anniversary. The event is designed as a space for the Black, Indigenous, and global majority to connect and reflect on their collective brilliance.
