You don’t need to run every day to get faster. 🏃‍♀️💨

If you’re training 3x/week, give each run a purpose:

⚡️ INTERVAL RUN
Shorter, faster efforts at or above your 5K pace.
→ Improves VO₂ max
→ Builds running economy at higher speeds
→ Teaches your body to tolerate and recover from hard efforts

🔥 TEMPO RUN
Sustained work around your threshold — “comfortably hard.”
→ Raises your lactate threshold
→ Helps you hold faster paces for longer
→ Makes race pace feel more sustainable

🌿 EASY RUN
Truly easy, conversational running.
→ Builds your aerobic base
→ Increases mitochondrial and cardiovascular adaptations
→ Adds training volume without the same fatigue cost as another hard session

The magic isn’t making every run harder.

It’s combining speed + threshold + aerobic volume while leaving enough recovery between sessions to actually adapt.

3 runs.
3 different training stimuli.
1 faster runner.

Train with intention → recover → adapt → PR.

Save this for your next training week. 🏃‍♀️ by @trainwithde

🥺 in need of some emotional motivation during pregnancy or postpartum?

The fact is this:

⭐️ even if you gained 100+lbs, you’re still able to rebuild postpartum
⭐️ even if you lost tons of strength, you can absolutely be the strongest version of you. New you.
⭐️ even if you didn’t walk much or strength train, the gains you can make in the first year postpartum are in your favour.
⭐️ working towards something postpartum helps you feel a sense of normalcy with this new human you just birthed! Focusing on you helps you maintain attitude, sleep, recovery and so much more.

I wish I knew how far I’d come only one year postpartum after my first. I ran a half marathon. Deadlifted and squatted heavier than ever before. Walked 10-20k steps a day easily 6+ months out. Rehabbed my pelvic floor and diastasis recti perfectly.

It is possible, but it takes effort. My team and I are here for you to support you as best we can with your new life. Reach out for advice, programs or 1:1 coaching anytime 💙⭐️ #trainwithde

A reminder to myself at #30weekspregnant I pushed myself to continue to grow my business! Now that im 34 weeks I’ve seen a big shift in my body and energy and therefore taking a step back while allowing my other coaches to take over 💪🏼💙 by @trainwithde

Nothing prepares you for:

🫶 your entire body changing whether you’ve accepted it or not
🫶 massive weight gain
🫶 slowing down ALL athletic goals (this one is so tough for me)
🫶 learning new adaptations day by day as you continue to grow your little BB

Physical activity in pregnancy can be discouraging. But I promise you it’s the most important. For your mind, your delivery, your recovery. We do it for more than just us in these 9 months, keep on going!!!! #prenataltrainer #prenatalworkout #torontopersonaltrainer #torontoruncoach #pregnancyworkout by @trainwithde

I ran up until #30weekspregnant this time around and I’m so proud of myself. My adductors and pelvic floor aren’t able to fire the right way now that I’m 32 weeks so I need to work on rehab before running more.

As a coach and a second time mom, I’ve learned not to push it where I can’t recover. I have to pivot (more long walks, more strength training) to help myself stay strong for this final push to delivery.

I can tell you one thing - never underestimate a pregnant woman LOL. Watch out - already setting some massive goals for PP this time around 💪🏼 by @trainwithde

My (abbreviated) story ⬇️

In my 20s I worked my 🍑 off in the corporate insurance world. I thought I was working my dream job scoring a well paid trainee position at one of Canadas biggest companies. I worked there for 3 years, doubled my salary and left for more of a sales role to another large insurer. I worked there up until April 2025.

For the past 9 years I worked on Train With De part time. I saw clients early and late and took on only as many that would scratch my itch of coaching fitness.

Now I’ve been doing this full time for about 18 months and have loved being a true entrepreneur. I never thought when I was 33 with a toddler at home I’d change my careers so dramatically.

It’s been completely worth it. The stress, the unknown, the many many learning lessons.

If you’ve supported train with de in this time, know that I appreciate you 💙 by @trainwithde

The #30weekspregnant attitude I live by. You think you can phase me? Absolutely not. Running on no sleep, raising a toddler, building a house, a business and having the time of my life doing it. Women are incredible 💙🤘🏻💪🏼😈 by @trainwithde

I’ve tried my best to create an accessible and holistic personal training business - your one stop shop to achieve your goals!

Not to mention, we have 4 coaches servicing Toronto and we are offering amazing back to school promotions! (First time clients only)!
