Finally recovering from @superlapbattle at @cota_official this past week. What an amazing event that did not disappoint! Huge shout out to @jason.dienhart and his full team. Their level of professionalism to put on a show of this scale is very impressive. I had some setbacks on the road to Austin, 2 flat trailer tires, arriving to our first hotel at 5am just to leave again in the morning. None of this would be possible without the constant support of my wife @elainaselaina. She is always pushing me to be the best I can be, also putting up with a lot of long nights and weekends cursing in the garage. Also, my crew chief #JerryGarber. He took expensive time off work to travel across 4 states with me and remaining calm when my tensions were high on and off the track. He kept me focused on the task at hand. Another great weekend in @vegas for the @f1lasvegas race and it didn’t disappoint. Everything was top notch from the @tmobile seats, the food, and @tpain keeping us dancing in the cold. @elainaselaina and I had a great time cheering on @astonmartinf1 and @fernandoalo_oficial. 2024 season started out with a strong showing at @superlapbattle COTA and I was really looking forward to GTA Finals at Buttonwillow. The goal here was to shoot for a Top 5 finish. As luck would have it, things didn’t go quite to plan. Friday practice was just that, getting some laps in and making sure everything was in decent shape. Saturday Day 1 Session 1 - SHOW TIME but wanted to get a lap in the bank. Nothing to write home about but felt the car was down on power at WOT. Maybe nerves and banked two Sub2 laps without much effort. Day 1 Session 2 - I was willing to give it a little more but I’m running on scrubs from SLB and saving a set of sticker A052’s for Fast Sunday. On Lap 2 had a strange misfire coming out of Esses but pushed through and ran a measly 1:57 and brought the car in. Then it happened, on the next out lap at Off-Ramp the car just DIED. No pop, bang, fireball, or anything exciting. Just no drive without warning. Got towed back in and that was that, the engine sounded like it was free spinning at crank with no compression, the weekend is over so we packed it up. Four timed laps and gutted. Sunday was a socialize day and I enjoyed being a spectator walking the garages, talking to folks, and cheering on @bossbossracing team @socaldriversclub for the win! Now back at home and it looks like the timing chain and tensioner died. After tear down, no valves are bent and pistons look good. So the refresh and rebuild starts now! Unsure at the moment on my 2025 bid, but there will be some track days scheduled to test some new things I’m working on. Big shoutout to my team @elainaselaina for the constant support, #JerryGarber @whittier_ratbone and @bittnerme for running pit crew, @w1llizm @wrteknica and @pieceofchevie for helping with diag. As always, a great day at @buttonwillowraceway with @socaldriversclub. They continue to raise the bar with every event. It was a sellout and it was awesome seeing all the smiles as people posted their times on the leaderboard! This was a GTA practice day for me and although the SDC day was a success, my times were abnormally slow for some reason? I came to find out why on Saturday morning during competition (more on that later). Can’t wait to get back out there again with the SDC crew soon!!! taken in Buttonwillow Raceway Park by @trakcad

First time at @springmountainmotorsports Charleston Peak on Sunday with @speedventures . The weather was INSANE HOT and the car was not happy, only managing to do 2 hot laps per session, totaling 7 laps for the day. Such a technical track and found myself being “reactive” at each corner instead of attacking. Thanks to @vblackwing for virtual coaching me over the phone since he couldn’t make it. Ended up running a 2:32.00 but of course forgot to turn the GoPro on. So here’s a 2:32.15 on my @bossbossracing POV. The lap is absolute garbage and I’ll easily shave 3-5 seconds off my next outing in more humane weather. If you listen closely at the end of the lap you can hear the dash yelling at me that the car is overheating and to stop immediately. Coolant was 258°, Oil was 297°, and the temp needle was pegged at H! Always a good time!!! taken in Spring Mountain Motorsports by @trakcad

After you design an efficient front splitter and dam, you need to control the air and properly evacuate it. Remember the splitter ramps (previous post) direct air to the wheel well. I reached out to @racelouvers and picked up their off the shelf wind tunnel tested fender vents. With all the added high pressure at the front running through the front grill and coolers, I had RaceLouvers cut a custom hood vent that I designed myself in CAD. This follows the lines of the OEM hood and radiator location. It’s always sketchy drilling through the 3,000$ factory carbon fiber hood. It came out awesome and you can SEE the under hood heat being sucked out (first pic) at speeds over 100mph. taken in San Diego, California by @trakcad
