Sharing Our Vision 🌈 Dance is freedom. Dance is connection. Dance is for everyone. 🌟 TRANScendARTS is the first educational program from EILERS Dance Theatre, a company dedicated to creating liberatory spaces where art, identity, and community meet. Named after Sid’s mother’s maiden name, EILERS means “brave warrior” a name Sid proudly claims after a personal journey of reclaiming identity and liberation. Through TRANScendARTS, we offer gender-affirming, creative movement classes where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and families can connect, create, and celebrate their wholeness. 🌿 Join us! Registration is open now via the link in bio. by @transcend_arts
Why TRANScendARTS Exists 🌈✨ Every child deserves a space where they can move freely, express who they are, and be celebrated. TRANScendARTS was born from over 25 years of teaching, our own childhood experiences, and continuous learning through trainings and workshops on inclusive pedagogy and queer/trans-affirming practices. Here, we create a liberatory space where 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their families can connect, create, and thrive together. 🌿 🗓 Weekly classes begin May 2026 📍 The Practice Room, Toronto ✨ Flexible fees available 💜 Register now through the link in bio #TRANScendARTS #DanceIsFreedom #InclusiveMovement #2SLGBTQIA+YouthArts by @transcend_arts
Celebrating Families & Community 🌸 TRANScendARTS isn’t just about dance classes it’s about building a community. We’ve watched families connect, celebrate, and create together. Some even joined their children on stage during Joy Is a Home With Many Rooms at Porch View Dances 2024 with Kaeja D’Dance a moment we’ll never forget. 🥹✨ This program is about belonging for your child, for you, for us all. 🗓 Weekly classes start May 19, 2026 📍 Registration is open now link in bio by @transcend_arts
We’re thrilled to welcome Vincent Enorme (he/they) as one of the three incredible facilitators joining TRANScendARTS this season ✨ Vincent is a queer Filipino-Canadian dancer, creator, and performer based in Toronto/Tkaronto, where he continues to learn, work, play, and build community through movement. An Honours graduate of George Brown College’s Commercial Dance Program, Vincent has trained across contemporary, ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, acting, singing, and musical theatre. Their diverse training has helped shape a dynamic artistic voice rooted in emotion, storytelling, and physical expression. Alongside their technical practice, Vincent is deeply interested in creating immersive work and movement with meaning. They continue to collaborate with artists and collectives across the GTA, bringing curiosity, openness, and imagination into every creative space they enter. Vincent moves with heart, generosity, and a deep commitment to connection and community values that sit beautifully at the centre of TRANScendARTS. We are beyond excited for participants to create, explore, and move with them this season. 🌈 by @transcend_arts

We are so excited to introduce one of our three brilliant TRANScendARTS facilitators: Steph Harkness (they/them) ✨ Steph is a teacher and Dora Award-winning performer based in so-called Toronto. They began their dance training in Mississauga at Cristina Pora’s Classical Dance Academy before continuing with the Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre. After graduating from Etobicoke School of the Arts, Steph earned a BFA in Dance and a BA in Anthropology from Purchase College, SUNY. Steph is a frequent collaborator with absurdist dance-theatre company Rock Bottom Movement, and has performed works by artists including Angela Blumberg, José Limón, Eilish Shin-Culhane, and Colleen Snell. As a faculty member at the School of Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre and a guest teacher at institutions and high schools across Ontario, Steph brings experience working with many different ages, bodies, and skill levels. Their artistic practice explores dance as a space for catharsis, connection, and community building values that sit at the heart of TRANScendARTS. We are beyond excited for participants to move, create, and connect with them this season. 🌈 by @transcend_arts
The Power of Movement 💫 In so many learning environments, shame is used to focus us, especially those who don’t fit neatly into society’s boxes. TRANScendARTS was created to break that cycle. Through dance, theatre, and play, we invite young people to: 🌈 Reclaim their freedom 🌿 Express their truth 💜 Be celebrated exactly as they are Rooted in 25+ years of teaching, our work blends personal experience with ongoing training in inclusive pedagogies and queer/trans-affirming practices. 🗓 Classes ongoing 📍 Register via the link in bio Together, let’s build a future grounded in joy, expression, and connection. ✨ by @transcend_arts
Meet the Heart Behind TRANScendARTS 💜 Hi, I’m Sid Ryan Eilers (they/them), founder of EILERS Dance Theatre and creator of TRANScendARTS. I’ve spent 25 years teaching, creating, and performing and much of that time has been dedicated to building spaces of belonging for queer and trans youth. TRANScendARTS is rooted in my personal journey as a trans artist, my childhood longing for spaces where I could be fully seen, and my belief that movement can transform lives. 🌈 🗓 Weekly classes start May 2026 ✨ Registration is now open link in bio by @transcend_arts
🌳✨ Our Monday in the Park class starts this evening — still time to join! Email sid@eilersdancetheatre.com to sign up. As one parent shared: “Then they go into this space and their pronouns are respected and they get to be whatever weirdness they want. I love seeing queer kids together.” — Rachel DiSaia Information and registration at: https://eilersdancetheatre.com/transcendarts @eilers.dance.theatre #TRANScendARTS #QueerJoy #TransKidsBelong #CommunityThroughDance #RiverdalePark #TorontoDance #GenderDiverseYouth #QueerFamilies #TransYouthSupport #DanceInThePark by @transcend_arts
