🏳️‍⚧️TRANS PRIDE MANCHESTER 2026🏳️‍⚧️

A huge thank you to every single person who showed up and celebrated with us this past Saturday, there’s no way we could’ve done it without your support.

The world is a scary place for trans people right now, but last weekend showed that we have so much love and joy as a community, and no one can take that away from us.

To our wonderful workshop and talk leads, thank you. You brought people together through crafts and dance, and you shared your invaluable knowledge with those who needed it, and we can’t express how grateful we are.

To our amazing volunteers, your hard work was everything we needed and more. You were march stewards, safety points, medics, shuttle buses, and anything else we needed you to be. Thank you so much, we couldn’t have done any of this without you and your want to help.

And to our community, thank you for trusting us with such an important event. Your faith, kindness, and willingness to throw yourselves into everything we had planned meant the world to our small team of trans folks who want to make a difference. We are with you, and it’s clear after this weekend that you are with us too.

In our bio you’ll find the links to two forms; a demographics form and a feedback form. We don’t expect everyone to fill out both, but we’d appreciate nothing more than your feedback on how Trans Pride Manchester 2026 was for you! Positive, negative, things we could’ve done differently, things you’d like to see next year or from TPM in general, we want to hear it all!

Thank you again, to everyone, from the bottom of our hearts. We are a community who loves and cares for one another; we are a community who will continue to live and thrive regardless of the circumstances.

The Manchester Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) Vigil will take place on Friday 20th November in Sackville Gardens (M1 3HB)⁠ ⁠

Arrival from 6.30pm and the service will start at 7.00pm⁠ ⁠
⁠
There will be a service of speakers and performers. Candles will be provided and we can take the time to remember those trans & gender diverse lives we have sadly lost. ⁠

Working in collaboration to create the new Manchester Trans organisations Network for our communities, with Not a Phase, The Placard People, The Proud Place, Sparkle Charity, and Trans Pride Manchester⁠

📢 PARTICIPANTS WANTED
Are you a transgender woman, transgender man, or non-binary person aged 50+ who has been undergoing masculinising or feminising gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT) for more than one year?
Researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University are looking for participants for a study exploring musculoskeletal (muscle, bone and joint) health experiences in ageing transgender and gender diverse adults.
💬 We want to hear about your experiences of muscle and bone health, healthcare, ageing, physical activity, and wellbeing.
📍 Take part either: • In person at Manchester Metropolitan University, Institute of Sport • Online
⏱ Participation involves a single interview lasting approximately 1-2 hours
✅ Travel expenses reimbursed up to £30 (for in-person visits) ✅ £10 Amazon voucher as a thank you
Your experiences can help us better understand musculoskeletal health in transgender and gender diverse communities and contribute to future research and healthcare improvements.

🔬 PARTICIPANTS WANTED

Are you a transgender woman, transgender man, or non-binary person aged 50+ who has been undergoing gender-affirming hormone treatment (GAHT) for more than one year?

Researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University are recruiting participants for a study investigating musculoskeletal health during ageing in transgender and gender diverse adults.

Despite increasing numbers of older trans people accessing healthcare, very little is known about how ageing, hormones, physical activity, and nutrition affect muscle and bone health in later life. This study aims to help address that gap and contribute to better evidence-based healthcare for trans communities.

✅ One study visit at Manchester Metropolitan University

✅ Bone density and body composition scans

✅ Muscle strength and physical function assessments

✅ Questionnaires on physical activity and nutrition

✅ Travel expenses reimbursed (up to £30)

✅ £10 Amazon voucher as a thank you

WORKERS SUPPORT TRANS RIGHTS! 🏳️‍⚧️

On Saturday, one of our members from the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel spoke at Trans Pride Manchester about the importance of solidarity in our movement. Our branch will always stand in defence of the rights of LGBT+ people - in an increasingly hostile political climate, LGBT+ rights are under attack from all angles.

In the face of this hostility, we must respond with solidarity. 💪 by @transpridemcr

I believe that It is our duty as trans people, to continue to create stories of trans hope and joy, to challenge transphobic ideals, to refuse to back down to hate and fear, and to lead the way with love and logic for the good of everyone.
UK legislation on trans rights is a masterpiece of logical gymnastics. My passport says one thing, my driving licence says another, my tax account says something else, and my birth certificate is frozen in 1995.
According to the government, I am legally a woman at the airport, a man at the DVLA, and a tax anomaly to HMRC
Honestly, I’ve had three names in my life and not one of them has been Christian.
