This Father’s Day is different.

Earlier this year, I lost my dad.

Since then, I’ve walked through grief, heartbreak, uncertainty, betrayal, and easily some of the hardest moments of my life.

Yet somehow, I’m still standing.

Not because I’m strong.
Not because I have all the answers.
Not because I never hurt.

I’m standing because God carried me when I couldn’t carry myself.

This year taught me what 2 Corinthians 12:9 really means: “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.”

I learned that peace isn’t the absence of pain. It’s the presence of God in the middle of it.

Looking back, I realize this year was never really about me. It was about God proving that His grace is still sufficient, His peace is still real, and His presence is still enough.

While grieving, God still allowed me to grow. I learned new skills, formed new bonds, found new purpose, regained my health, and discovered strength I didn’t know I had.

The circumstances didn’t define me.

God did.
