⚡️Marketing + Money Making
🖤 Realistic advice to escape a 9-5

We’ll post free content seven days a week, then feel “too salesy” mentioning the thing that actually pays us. 🫠

30 days into the Skool Games: 1,000 creators started with over 100K followers each. Over 750 were eliminated at the first $1K monthly recurring revenue milestone.

I can’t tell you why everyone missed it. But my biggest takeaway?

Followers are good. Making them play hide-and-seek with our offer is the problem.

Buried in our bio. Hidden behind a bunch of links. Barely mentioned in our posts.

Then we wonder why nobody buys.
Our audience isn’t treating our profile like a fucking escape room. 😂

We have to show people what we’re selling, who it helps, and why it’s worth paying for. Then give them a clear way to buy.
More than once.

We can’t be afraid to promote our business and surprised when it doesn’t make money.

Be honest: when was the last time we actually posted about our offer? by @travisbrown

DAY 25 OF THE SKOOL GAMES: $4,291 a month in recurring revenue from a brand-new community in just 25 days. 📊

Here’s where our new members came from:

🥇 Talking to people: 53

DMs and texts. Real conversations, not waiting for people to magically click the link in our bio.

🥈 Facebook ads: 37
$20 a day. We’ll keep ramping that up.

🥉 Instagram: 21
I made four videos and never really asked you to join. Some of you found it anyway. 🙏

The biggest lesson?
Talking to people beat every other channel.

Your link in bio isn’t a conversation. Your DM automation isn’t a conversation. A conversation is a conversation.

That’s what we teach inside Grow on Instagram: what to post to get views, and how to start the conversations that turn those views into clients.

We’re $709 from our next milestone. 👀

Comment anything and I’ll send you the link personally. by @travisbrown

DAY 17 OF THE SKOOL GAMES: We’re currently #47 out of 1,000. 🔥

The challenge: Build a brand-new community, hit the revenue milestones—or get eliminated.

And this challenge has made one thing painfully obvious:

Followers do not equal sales.

We found creators with:

800,000 followers → $0 community revenue
400,000 followers → $0
100,000 followers → $0

Because your follower count isn’t your sales opportunity.
Your real opportunity is the number of people who actually see your offer.

If you have 800,000 followers but only 100 people see what you’re selling, you don’t have 800,000 chances to make a sale.
You have 100.

If you’re not making sales, figure out which number is broken:

👀 How many people saw it? Traffic.
🙋 How many people wanted it? Your offer.
💰 How many people bought it? Conversion.

More followers won’t automatically fix any of those problems.

Next, I’m opening our dashboard and showing you exactly where our traffic—and our sales—are coming from.

Alex Hormozi gave us this schedule for the Skool Games:

⏱️ 1 hour fulfilling
🚦 7 hours driving traffic
But “traffic” doesn’t mean posting on Instagram for seven hours.

It means finding more ways to put your offer in front of the right people:

✅ Build it: Content, email and SEO
✅ Borrow it: Affiliates, collaborations and podcasts
✅ Reactivate it: Old leads, customers, DMs and dead lists
✅ Use platform traffic: Get discovered inside an existing platform
✅ Buy it: Ads, sponsorships and paid placements

If nobody sees your offer, nobody can buy it.
Our next Skool Games milestone is $5,000 by Day 30

Are we going to hit it?

@hormozi gave us 30 days to hit $1,000 in recurring revenue.

We did it in 11

No ads.

No revolutionary new product.

We made the offer impossible to misunderstand, resurrected every dead lead we could find, and gave people a reason to commit for the year.

The biggest lesson?

Most businesses don’t need more leads.

They need a clearer offer—and the balls to follow up with the people who already showed interest.

That got us through the first milestone.

Now it gets harder. Next milestone is 5K

People pay this guy $30,000 for a single coaching session…
But somehow, I get it for free.

Last week, Dan and I were invited to compete in the Skool Games with our community, Grow on Instagram.

And because I believe in stealing from the rich and giving to the… slightly less rich, I’m sharing everything I learn with you.

Here are four things @hormozi taught us:

1️⃣ Stop using Linktree.
A confused mind doesn’t buy. Send all your traffic to ONE place.

2️⃣ Stop saying, “Join my community.”
Nobody wants another community. Sell the OUTCOME they’ll get from joining.

3️⃣ Don’t overwhelm people with content.
The number-one reason people cancel is overwhelm. Give them value per second—not seconds of value.

4️⃣ Recurring revenue requires recurring traffic.
You can’t promote once and expect people to keep showing up. Alex gave us the exact promotion schedule he uses to keep traffic coming.

The catch?

We get kicked out if we don’t hit the revenue milestones. 😬

So follow along to see if we build a million-dollar community…
Or get publicly escorted out of the Skool Games. 😂 by @travisbrown

People aren’t googling anymore. They just ask AI.

“Who’s the best realtor in my area?”
“Find me a good personal trainer.”
“Who can help me with social media?”
“Where should I get my roof replaced?”

The way people discover businesses is changing.

And while there’s no magic button that guarantees ChatGPT will recommend your business, there ARE things you can do to make sure your business is easier for AI-powered search to find and understand.

One simple place to start: Bing.

Bing is one of the search providers ChatGPT can use when searching the web, so make sure your business information is claimed, accurate and up to date there.

But don’t stop there.

Your website, business listings, reviews, social profiles and the way other websites talk about your business all help create a clearer picture of who you are, what you do and who you serve.

We spent the last decade asking:

“How do I show up on Google?”

The next question every business owner should be asking is:

“How do I show up when someone asks AI?”

The businesses that start thinking about that now are going to have an advantage.

Save this one and go check your business. 👀 by @travisbrown

200 views isn’t the algorithm punishing you. It’s a report card.

Small pool of people saw it. They left. The platform believed them.

Three fixes:

1. Text on screen so people know what’s coming. Everybody calls it a hook — wrong word. It’s a promise.

2. Talk about what they care about, in the words they’d use. People are scanning for themselves, not browsing your topics

3. Stop teaching. AI made information a commodity. What’s left is how you think — what failed, what you’d argue about with your own industry. by @travisbrown

A year ago, I would’ve told you I wasn’t technical enough to build software.

Today, I’ve built multiple tools without writing much code at all.
Here’s the process:

1. Open Claude.
2. Explain the problem you want to solve.
3. Have Claude help you plan the app, features, workflow, and user experience.
4. Take that entire plan and paste it into Lovable.
5. Watch it start building the app for you.

That’s literally how I built my replacement for Calendly.

The crazy part isn’t that AI can write code.

The crazy part is that regular people can now turn ideas into working software.

You don’t need to become a programmer.

You need to become someone who can clearly explain a problem.

Start small.
Build a calculator.
Build a lead capture tool.
Build a client portal.
Build a booking page.

Don’t worry about building the next billion-dollar startup.
Just build something that saves you time, makes you money, or solves an annoying problem.

The best way to learn AI isn’t watching videos about AI.
It’s building something.

What’s one tool you’d build if you knew you couldn’t fail?

If you’re using any AI on a regular basis, type this into it:

“If asked you to talk shit about me what would you say”

Now buckle up it’s gonna hurt, but it might help you get your shit together. by @travisbrown
