I’m 40. As I reflect on these past 40 years, I recognize how fortunate I am. I’ve had the honor of being embraced by people who love me for me and who support me. They lift me when my legs tire and they hold me when I need it most. I have laughed harder than I thought possible, and I have danced until I ached. For the next 40 years, I intend on focusing on gratitude. I want to more deeply honor those who have cared for, taught, nurtured, conspired with, checked, and loved me. I’m a lucky boy that I get to stand with you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. by @travislemont

When you meet a fear head on, it goes up as a post. Thank you @saulfrancoz and @divercitours for an enjoyable and memorable morning. I’m terrified of heights—TERRIFIED—but this hot air balloon ride was gentle and felt like freedom. And while I’ve been to the pyramids, never with someone as knowledgeable and engaging as Saul. Thank you for everything; you’re an incredible guide! taken in Teotihuacan Zona Arqueologica by @travislemont

This goes in the grid. So excited about the @lgbtq_museum
And so proud of @cortezcrosby for joining the board and being the baddy he is. If you can, give to this museum. LGBT History is American History so preserve it! Be one of the names on the wall of history! by @travislemont

It is only fitting that I leave @mjthemusical after spending a month celebrating Black History Month by giving flowers to Black people who have done the good work for our communities. This show has allowed me to search out new and innovative ideas for getting people who look like me to the theatre. It has been an honor. I’m heading off into other mediums (more on that later) and I will hold dear the lessons learned on MJ.

Allow me a moment to gush. MJ has been an incredible, life-changing experience that I wouldn’t replace for anything in the world. The creatives, cast, crew, staff, producers, everyone are top-notch and I am honored to have worked with them.

I have to give a special shout-out to my ACE and my p.i.c @aaliytha It is not always easy to be a Black producer on Broadway, but when you find people like Aaliytha (and she brings the fam @iamirenegandy included!!) you feel seen. It is a wonder to have your experience validated. Thanks friend for everything!!

I will be seeing this beautiful show as many times as possible. And I promise to be ignorant as hell in the audience. taken in Neil Simon Theatre by @travislemont

For the Culture.

Posted @withrepost • @mjthemusical Last Friday #MJtheMusical made history as the first Broadway show to sponsor the HBCU Football Classic. Being able to celebrate the successes and talents of the @Howard1867 and @Morehouse1867 communities is something we’ll always be grateful for. 🔥 by @travislemont
