Join us on the eve of WTM to celebrate the BGTW Members’ Excellence Awards, BGTW International Tourism Awards, and, new for 2026, the BGTW PR Recognition Awards, supported by TravMedia.

The BGTW is pulling out all the stops for the 2026 Annual Gala Awards Dinner at The Underglobe, part of London’s cultural landmark, Shakespeare’s Globe, Bankside. We’re excited to bring our glitzy, long-standing highlight of the international travel calendar to such an iconic venue, where immersive videos will “transport” our award-winning members and industry colleagues around the globe to our partner destinations.

Now’s the time to secure your tickets or tables either on our website at bgtw.org/gala or via hello@bgtw.org.

We’re grateful to our dear friends @discover_sc and @explorecharleston for their continued support as headline partners, @visitsanantonio and @travmedia_uk for their partnerships, and our award sponsors (so far): Antor, Gran Canaria, Greece, Pure Michigan and St Kitts Tourism Authority.

Interested in partnering with us to present an award? Please email Renate Ruge, BGTW Joint Chair: renate.ruge@bgtw.org. taken in The Underglobe by @travwriters

Around the World in 65 Years is a new BGTW travel anthology of 101 travel stories and experiences, written by award-winning and acclaimed members of the British Guild of Travel Writers.

Sixty-five articles escort readers through both time – pieces from every decade help illustrate how travel has changed since 1960 – and space, with every continent given prominent billing. The book also showcases three dozen mesmerising experiences.

The anthology is more than just words, too. The British Guild of Travel Writers’ celebrated professional photographers also bring far-flung places alive through images.

This remarkable BGTW travel anthology is a must-buy book for both armchair travellers and for those seeking inspiration for their next journey.
