🧱LAYING FOUNDATIONS: BEFORE I DO🧱

Before you ask whether you have found the one, ask yourself a harder question. Would you marry you?

We live in a culture obsessed with finding the right person. But scripture spends time on Adam alone with God before Eve ever enters the picture. He had purpose. He had relationship with his Creator. Wholeness came before companionship.

Here is the truth most people avoid. Every human being has needs they cannot live without. Acceptance, affirmation and appreciation. And when we make a partner the primary source of those needs, we set them up to fail us and we set ourselves up to be constantly disappointed.

God never designed a human being to carry what only he can carry. When he is your source first, you can actually love your partner freely instead of draining them dry.

So before you say I do, do the inner work. Build your relationship with God. Develop your purpose. Submit to godly authority. Grow spiritually, emotionally and mentally. Personal development is not holding up your marriage. It is preparing you for it.

GOD’S WILL OVER OURS

We spend so much energy asking God to bless our own plans.

But this excerpt from Baesics by Ernest and Waturi Wamboye says something that should stop us. There is a blessedness in having God’s will for your life. But there is a horror in God simply letting you have your own way instead.

Think about that. Sometimes the scariest answer God can give you is not no. It is silence. It is stepping back and letting you build a life entirely out of your own understanding.

Romans 12:2 does not describe God’s will as restrictive. It describes it as good, pleasing and perfect. Not good for God. Good for you.

So the next time you are frustrated that a door has not opened, or a plan has not worked out the way you wanted, pause before you push harder. It might be God protecting you from your own paths, not withholding from you.

His will is not a cage. It is the safest place you could possibly be.

👑THE BIBLICAL HUSBAND👑

In a world that constantly measures a man by his success, status, income, and achievements, God measures him differently. Scripture paints a picture of a husband who is called to love sacrificially, lead humbly, provide faithfully, protect intentionally, and serve selflessly. Marriage was never designed to display the greatness of a husband, but the goodness and faithfulness of God. The biblical husband is not a perfect man, nor is he a man who has all the answers. He is simply a man who continually submits his heart to Christ and allows that relationship to shape every other relationship in his life. He understands that leadership is not control, love is more than provision, protection goes beyond physical strength, and success means little if his home is neglected. As culture continues to redefine marriage according to human preferences, God’s design remains unchanged. Healthy marriages are built when husbands and wives choose daily sacrifice over selfishness, covenant over convenience, service over pride, and Christ over self. Whether you are married, preparing for marriage, or simply seeking God’s wisdom, may this remind you that the goal is not to find a perfect spouse or become a perfect husband. The goal is to become more like Jesus and, in doing so, reflect His love in the home He has entrusted to you. ✝️🤍

When Boys, Beauty and Brains become your identity the fruit is pride, envy, idolatry and broken relationships. And beyond the 3B, many women are also carrying identities built on their trauma, their failures, their addictions and what people have spoken over them. None of that is who you are.
God identifies you the same way he identifies his own Son. Accepted. Affirmed. Appreciated. That identity is permanent. It cannot be taken from you. And because Jesus Christ defeated sin, death and hell, none of your past has the final word over your future.
But we also looked at three women from scripture. Eve, Sarah and Lot’s wife. Three different ways women block themselves from walking in the identity God has given them. Chasing what God never said. Refusing to wait on what God promised. And looking back at what God told them to leave.
The question is honest and simple. Which one are you?
Not to condemn you. But to free you. Because God is not finished with you.
Rise, ladies. You are the Bride of Christ. Walk like it.

The world handed you a definition before you were old enough to question it.
Be beautiful enough to be wanted. Be smart enough to be respected. And make sure the right people notice you.
But here is what God has been trying to tell you. Boys, Beauty and Brains are not evil. Ruth was pursued. Esther was beautiful. Abigail was brilliant. And God used all three of them. But none of those things were the foundation of who they were. And they cannot be the foundation of who you are either.
Because they are finite. They are unstable. And the day any one of them fails you, and they will, you will have nothing left to stand on.
