#Part2! I got requests for more highlights from that show I did with @ghost_note_official
here ya go 🙌🏾🙌🏾

I always have an amazing time creating with the fellas!!! I don’t think they realize what these times did for me and why I hold on to them so tight…They came at a time in my life when I needed freedom to find ME again! Grief can steal from your reality and cause you to phase out. I really need to say Thank you to my bro @sputacular for making moments like this happen again that reminds me of who I am! I won’t ever stop saying thanks! 🫶🏾❤️

I’m still finding more of myself everyday but I so love the role that they played at that time! Love you my brothers!!! I also loved bringing gospel to every kind of venue you could think of! I used to do this all the time at classical shows corporate R&B it didn’t matter and they brought it back to me! It’s my culture and my heart and it was celebrated EVERYWHERE!!

You gotta love @mackenziesmind who always has my back and is ALWAYS ready to ROCK OUT WITH ME!!! 💃🏾💃🏾

#Practice🎸 ROUND 2 SAME SONG!

Taking another stab at this one 😩 it still ain’t right yet 😂) but this time I’m trying to sing through the hard parts 🥵

You literally have to practice this stuff all the time or it disappears almost instantly, it is NOT like riding a bike 🥵😩🥴😭😂 and of all the artists to practice, Hamilton Hardin makes me work hard to find all the notes I never knew were even there! 😩🙌🏾

I was very tempted to cut my nails to get them notes 😆 but uuuhh, nah 💅🏾 😭 after one of these sessions everything else just feels easy… Until the next day 🥴😂 Great work #HamiltonHardin!!! I’m his number 1 Philly fan but he knows that 😄🙌🏾🫶🏾

#TheRepast! @jazminesullivan sis I love you with my whole heart!!! ❤️❤️❤️ It warmed my heart to see a smile on your face in that moment of celebrating your mother!!! I am still praying for your strength!!! I know this road ahead of you is alot to take in but I pray this moment of celebration on that sacred day reminds you of the “Joi” in your heart and the love that surrounds you!!! Take as long as it is necessary to process your peace 🙏🏾

To the rest of the world PLEASE remember that Artists are REAL PEOPLE and they need time to heal and be at peace! Yes she HAD to cancel some concert dates but that is imperative when adjusting to a new normal!!!

In the video :
We started off singing all the feel good songs starting with “bust your windows” and “it’s love” by @missjillscott but then it got a lil churchy outta nowhere 🙌🏾🙌🏾 🤷🏾‍♀️ 😄 LISTEN, we will do whatever’s necessary for each moment!!! 🙌🏾😩😊 So I figured if we gone do quartet/church then LETS GET IT!!! 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 The release of “Joi” was so fitting🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 glad we were all included in this great moment in celebration of this great woman!!! Ms Pam you are a force to be reckoned with!!! The whole day was proof of that! Jazmine is proof of that!!! Your legacy is powerful and will live on forever 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 🕊️

Shout out to the band singers stage crew and leading man! Even though everyone didn’t make the repast y’all spirits were present!!! Everyone made each moment easy to make because all y’all were easy to work with!!! &Thank you GOD because you make each moment possible 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

My #NYCStories…well just a few of them 🤭

Had to post this, S/O to @warriorinstruments for the vibe brought by my new bass! 🙌🏾 🎸 It was a great time!

So refreshing to get into creative spaces that produces a freedom that vibrates right down to the very streets!!! 😍

S/O to the Saxophone player at #TheHighLine Park who was gracious enough to have this impromptu music conversation with the Jazz standard #AutumnInNewYork 🥰 it was perfect! ❤️

Till next time #NYC!!! 🍎 🌆 ✨❤️

Well I’m at it again lol I’m on my road to greatness and yall gettin all the footage good bad AND indifferent! 😩😄

This is the second service of the day and I was exhausted, hence the flats 🥿 😂

You would have thought that I learned my lesson from last week about spending more time with practicing the material on bass but I honestly was gonna pass on playing since I did a lot of traveling and running around…

I’m learning that that’s not a good excuse because all great musicians are always prepared! So I better practice in my sleep if I have to 🤣

I had to sing with #KurtCarr and he was apart of a concert that had multiple artists and I didn’t know who would be there…so this is why I was so hype about seeing @jonmcreynolds there because we literally already planned to do at least two of his songs Sunday 🙌🏾

It was confirmation that GOD is orchestrating something and I need to stay in the boat and let Him lead me to the greatness He has ordained for this time in history…

I’m not letting myself get in the way by hiding anymore and by constantly posting and showing you all the journey, it makes me accountable to keep going!!!

I love yall with my whole heart and thank you for pushing me into my purpose!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🎸 🎤 💃🏾

#AwesomeGod! Back at it working to perfect what God has given me to do 🙏🏾🙌🏾

So what I’m learning is if you sing and play an instrument You gotta KEEP practicing singing and playing because when you slow down it’s like starting all over again 😩 lesson learned because this was a bit of a struggle 🤦🏾‍♀️ I get it, it is a lot, I’m playing singing and directing the choir with my voice lol but if I’m constantly doing it, it becomes easier to navigate and master…

I adjusted the audio so yall can kinda hear the 🎸 more but the tone and power goes away when you plug straight into a direct box vs an amp, another lesson learned.

Shout out to the TWC Choir who did an excellent job yesterday!!!! A wonderful group of loving people who consistently encourages me to be as great as GOD has created me to be!!! Love them to life!!!!

This is new 🤭 #MyRoadToGreatness

I do not gig lol I would only do special things for my sister or myself if I want to do something different while I sing but lately I’ve been feeling a push to just go for it! For greatness you have to put in at least 10,000 hours and I only started practicing during the pandemic…I would say a solid year of leisure practice so I’m way behind

#Smac with @dorindaclarkcole started #TheYearOfMyYES and today I kept my word to God and myself…we have quite a few gigs that has all of a sudden lined up and…I’m up for the challenge! Church is the perfect place to train because anything could happen right or wrong but you stay prepared for anything!

It’s up! From a great hobbyist 😂 to a great musician! Apparently the harvest is ripe but the musicians are few! Ladies go back to your musician dreams and dream in realtime! Just see what happens!

And YES I’M KEEPING MY NAILS 💅🏾 💁🏾‍♀️🤭 LET’S GOOOOO‼️‼️

#SMAC! 🙌🏾 what a complete honor it was to be a part of the Smac conference in Birmingham this year! I had never been to Smac but what a humbling experience to be able to partake in such an amazing event!

I’m still shocked to be called one of the bass players for an all girl band of humble women from all across the country! Grateful that I also got a chance to do what I have always done all my life which is singing 🎤🙏🏾

for those who are new to my story, I am a singer who picked up the bass and started practicing during the pandemic. It is wonderful to see the doors that have opened and the connections that came because of a simple shift in my desire to evolve. 😩

I picked up some new family members (followers supporters) who only know me for playing bass while there is a great deal of people who only know me for singing and bringing those worlds together has overwhelmed my heart in a way that it’s fueling me to continue growing and creating!

I pray this inspires people to evolve and continue becoming who you were always meant to be

Again I’d like to thank Auntie Do @dorindaclarkcole for sharing her platform in a way that changes lives for multiple generations and for pouring knowledge into the church of today! Thank you for standing with us and encouraging us to change the world for the better! Thanks to @sabrinabanksmusic for recommending me to the team! 🤗 and thanks to my sisters @twannettamoniqueferebee @tamekaferebee @toshmarieee for the pep talks and support! 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️

#GRACENOTES
Thank you @derestcraig @stephanierchilders & @mstrinatrine for running the rehearsals and encouraging me to never quit! And to the new sisterhood of the #GraceNotes! @shonniemurrell @lexis_shack @gentryjanise @kdrum123 @porter.joi @kierakeys_ @dominiquejohnsonmusic @jonessisters4 @trumpetladyt @queendrumsofficial & Rita!!!! 🎸 Can’t wait to rock out with yall again!!! Love you my sisters!!!!
