Star Wars November, anyone? 🥰😈

Our biggest collection yet is coming next month!! 🤭🤭 Brace yourselves for 36 all new tonals and a handful of new and some returning variegateds. Any guesses on what comebacks could be? 👀😂

We’re officially in the BER months- the best months hehe. Of course this came from a Virgo. 😜

Anyway the countdown to Rhinebeck is on which means my New Norma is officially my main wip.

Colorways: Outlander, La Dame Blanche, and More Tangled

This will make my third sweater using our Cotton Air base and that should tell you everything you need to know about it. I don’t love the hand feel of cotton in general but when I wear this blend it’s like the best fuzzy hug- and I don’t get to 1000 degrees. I will be working diligently to convert @perfectlyknotted to this base next month haha.

I’m sorry I’ve been so quiet on here the last couple of months! We unexpectedly moved studios, all while dyeing Outlander and advents. 🙃🙃🙃 One day at a time though. That’s just what I tell myself everyday as I crawl into bed more exhausted than the last.

I am stressed but happy. Development always puts me into the best mood. While we are moving as fast as possible to get your outlander yarn out- I’ve been developing Star Wars behind the scenes. And OMG. This collection. Ughhh I can’t wait for share more.

One final offering of this palette is available now. 🥰🥰🥰

This is a PRE-ORDER with an estimated turnaround time of 8 weeks. (Rhinebeck Sweater kits will be dyed first with a 4 week turnaround time.). If we hit capacity very quickly for this timeframe it will be extended for orders after that cutoff to 8-16 weeks. I will make announcement on our website and Instagram if that happens.

Happy Outlander pre-order day!!!

-From me and my new Rivendell hehe. I made mine using This Place Had a Heartbeat on Yak Silk DK and the moooooodiness is just so perfect and so me on this base.

I have lots of utilitarian sweaters so I opted for the I-cord neck finishing over ribbing to achieve a softer and more romantic look to this piece. And I am so glad I did. It’s dramatic but still super comfortable to wear.

RHINEBECK SWEATER KITS

A highlight every year I’ve attended NY Sheep and Wool is seeing all the groups of people in their matching Rhinebeck sweaters. The friendships this event cultivates through our shared love of wool is just so amazing to witness and be a part of.

Timing has worked out and I wanted to offer a few kits for past patterns of Andrea Mowry’s and this year’s current “Rhinebeck Sweater”. Seeing the sea of knitters every year in their matching Andrea patterns is honestly incredible. She’s developed such a wonderful way to connect knitters from all over the world, and I think that’s worth celebrating.

Details on the kits:
-These kits will be dyed before the rest of outlander production begins.
-They will have an expedited 4 week turnaround time- in hopes that you could wear it to NY Sheep and Wool festival- if wanted of course. these kits can be purchased just because you want them as well. I just wanted to offer a faster turnaround for them if wearing it to Rhinebeck is your goal!
-Patterns can be purchased separately on Ravelry. I am only pricing based on yarn included.
-Buttons not included. I purchased mine by the wonderful Haulin’ Hoof. @haulinhooffarm

If you’re making a size XL (5+) sweater or larger we offer size inclusive discount pricing. It is automatically built into the pricing of these kits with some sizes receiving one or two skeins for free. If you’ll be shopping the individual colorway offerings as well please feel free to use the code “LOVETAX” at checkout. For every 6 skeins purchased, the 7th is free (eligible for 3 uses- 3 free skeins total). Please be honest with the code and only use if you truly qualify!

A moment for Outlander- the colorway!

There have been just a few of moments in my career as an indie yarn dyer that have secured themselves as core memories in my progression and growth as an artist. Pushing my limits to create the most intricate and detailed colorway I’ve ever made, Outlander, is definitely one of them.

To be honest this entire collection is though. After six months living and breathing this palette, the fact that I am still not exhausted of it or tired of seeing the colorways is huge. I actually still leave the studio every single day more inspired than the previous. I think this is pretty evident by the amount of garments I’ve completed in the last few months. And this isn’t even showing all the active wips. lol.

Shown here in my Knot Again by @unwind_knitwear in the colorway Outlander on our Silky Sock base. It blends the colors even more to create the most beautiful gothic dried floralesque feel.

I’ve made one Frost Lines and now I need 4 more of them. The pattern is so popcorny and the feel of our Cotton Air Worsted base is just so soft against my skin.

We may have a few other options brewing besides mine for these kits. 🤭 I made mine using Lallybroch for the main color and A Scottish Noise and Ye Canna Click It for the contrast colors.

I bought buttons from @haulinhooffarm for this cardigan and chose a color I thought would best highlight the glow of the cotton core. I have ordered clear backs for the buttons to help stabilize them (and will be adding them upon arrival) because even though they’re a lightweight material they’re still 1” buttons.

I know a lot of you purchased yarn for this same pattern in the original preorder and that makes me so happy hehe! If you’d like to share your color combo you chose it may help me narrow down my kit options hehe. Or make it worse. 😂

Wanna be Framed twinsies?! I promise it will be fun and I won’t make you do the monkey bars too, unless you want to of course. 😂😜

The sweater I’m probably most proud of making since the first launch of Outlander is my Framed Sweater by @dreareneeknits . So naturally I want to share the love I have for this sweater with you all and offer kits for it with the next Outlander pre-order.

Mine uses Norway for the neckline, hems, and shoulder, and La Dane Blanche and Outlander for the colorwork on our Shaniko Silk Worsted base. This sweater is SO SOFT and just a dream to wear. It very well could be my favorite make to date. Some changes I made were adding an extra row of the quilt motif to the body for length and omitting the faux shoulder seam by completing the tubular bind off traditionally (instead of inside out).

This will be one of a few patterns we offer kits for. The kits will be dyed first and offered at a 4 week turnaround time so you could technically make it your Rhinebeck sweater. 🥰🥰🥰

NORWAY

Many of you guessed correctly- Norway is the comeback colorway joining us for Outlander!

It’s swapping out with Just Breathe, but don’t worry Heartbeat will be staying on for this round.

For those of you who don’t know, I usually offer one or two comeback colorways for new collections. They’re colorways from past collections that I feel go very well with the palette at hand. Since we don’t offer many repeats of collections past their initial offerings, I think this is a nice way to get your hands on some of my favorites from the Treehouse archives.

I also have another kind of secret reason (Discord peeps probably know) why I wanted to bring Norway back with Outlander. 😈😈😈

Norway will be offered on these bases plus the three new ones highlighted before.
