Plant Hospital 1.0

This little corner was the place plants went to be cared for when something weird was going on, now it’s a whole bathroom…

Looking Back

Next week it’s been 2 years in @treehousemanor 2.0 and we’re still sharing photos from the original🤦 Can the anniversary be the deadline we need to carch up on long overdue photos? Stay tuned to find out!

Watermelon Peperomia - High 🎶

Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue the way @harrystyles sings it, but we’re thinking of naming it after him anyway.

The Green House

This little room was partly responsible for @mi2old4this ‘ plant obsession. It became such a great little spot to grow plants year round, shelter outdoor plants when it rains too much, or even just to tuck some away while they were treated for bugs. This room was a shoddily built addition to the house that leaked water from the day we moved in. Several attempts from our landlord and roommates yielded little progress unfortunately, but hey: maybe the moisture was good for the plants?

Aaaaaaalmost Paradise

This Bird of Paradise plant was one of the first we ever owned. We loved watching it grow and pop up new, increasingly enormous leaves. Then, after about a year, it got infested with scale. It struggled for almost 2 years!!! We thought it would never recover because it was very hard to get at the bugs between the folds of the plant. However, 4 years later is is thriving again and almost taller than @dandyandfriends! We promise progress photos soon, what’s been your toughest plant challenge?

Transcending into Space

The aptly named “Space Kitchen” was always host to good conversation, but we think it really came to life when the alien plants moved in. This Tradescantia (“Herschel”) is mother/father to about 30 plants now, and is slowly taking over @treehousemanor. Put a 🪴 in the comments for Herschel!!

A New Hope

Love this layered shadow box poster of @starwars “A New Hope.” This was a “Secret Santa” gift that @mi2old4this received from @brosand one year. It was that, an @xbox gift card, and some weed… we been homies a long time so he knows me pretty good.

Temporary Caption!

Sometimes one is blocked for ideas, or simply forgot to double check one’s instagram before starting to edit a photo. A lot of times it’s just nonsense anyway, a wee bit of insight into our lives, IF anyone cares. We hope you’ll laugh, preferably not cry (though that is okay), but mostly we just hope you’ll come visit.

Felt honest, might delete later ;)

The Space Kitchen 🚀

Took a little break but finally back at it. We SWEAR we’ll get to pictures of the new house one day, but @mi2old4this just took too many good photos of the old house that we never posted. We juuuuust wanna finish sharing our previous creation before we move on from it forever. This kitchen already no longer exists, it’s a hole in the ground! It sure held a lot of space for good times in the three years we used it.

Chinese Fern

This strange and spikey plant was a struggle for me, loved the old house but sadly did not survive relocating to Treehouse 2.0. RIP lil plant. Here’s a #tbt to when you were still green and beautiful. Any tips on Chinese Ferns???

Office Upgrades

Though this little office nook was hardly used, except for printing, it was nice to have a sunny alt space we could work if need be.

And to fill it with plants 🤷
