A classic shot from one year when I was excavating at The Ness of Brodgar and History of Ancient Britain was filming. Neil taught me some great things, like how to not muddy your knees when bending down to look at the archaeology, legend.

Lady of the lake 🗡️

The Lady of the Lake is a medieval myth surrounding the tale of King Arthur, she was a powerful otherworldly enchantress who gives King Arthur his magical sword, Excalibur, and later reclaims it when Sir Bedivere returns it after Arthur's final battle.

By the incredible @sallysparrow_photography 💙💙💙 she is truly the goddess of photography ✨

A photo from a site in Oxfordshire a few years back in winter, there were some amazing archaeological finds and features (and hard hat free digging which is a major win). Roman and Iron age burials, deviant burials, juvenile deviant burials, corn dryers, barrows, huge ditches filled with bone, coins and roman pottery, and other crazy stuff, like this gorgeous storage pit I am excavating.

I miss sites like this!!!
