I had no plans to celebrate this year…but my people had other plans. 🥹✨

My friends poured into me all week and made sure my birthday was everything from body scrub experiences and then some!

Extra love to my lovebug, @charissehenryftw, for bringing it all together and creating the sweetest experience with close friends. I love you big! 💕♍️

This Kid is in NC and all settled in! What an emotional ride the last 2 weeks have been! Thank God for my Family and Village! It's taken me a bit to share because yeap I've been full of anx and emotions but I am assured that the foundation has been laid and he will do great!
Huge thanks to all who sent well wishes, purchased from his wish list, encouraged us, checked in on us both and kept us lifted on our travel to and from, those who have supported us physically, financially and spiritually! Much love to you all!

Some visits have a way of lifting a weight you didn’t even realize you were carrying.

This weekend, while we were in North Carolina getting Brayden registered and preparing for his next chapter at North Carolina Central University, we had the opportunity to visit our former pastor and church family. What began as a weekend that felt emotionally heavy quickly became one filled with comfort, joy, and peace.

Thank @bryandmoss for welcoming us with open arms. Your love, encouragement, and excitement for Brayden’s future meant more than words can express. Watching you immediately begin introducing him to people, connecting him with resources, and surrounding him with community reminded us that family isn’t always defined by proximity sometimes it’s defined by the people who continue to cover you in love wherever life takes you.

As a parent, leaving your child in another state comes with a mix of emotions. But after this weekend, my heart is lighter. I know Brayden is walking into a community that will love him, encourage him, and help him thrive.

I am beyond proud of both of you. Not just for the degrees, diplomas, and certifications! But, for the character, resilience and heart you've shown along the way! You did it!
They say it takes a village, and ours has shown up time and time again!

Shout out to every teacher, mentor, family member, friend , coach, praying grandmother (may she continue to RIP), supporter, and encourager who poured into my babies and helped carried us through every season!

What an incredible weekend celebrating Brayden through the Beautillion experience. 💛🖤

A sincere thank you to the @betataualphas1936 Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. for pouring into each of the Scholars and creating such a meaningful experience for these young men.

To our family, friends, village, and everyone who supported Brayden through ad purchases, ticket purchases, prayers, encouragement, and your presence thank you. Every act of support meant more than you know.

Senior Sunday 🎓

Whew… the countdown to graduation is getting REAL.

Watching my babies step into this season has been one of the sweetest reminders that growth doesn’t happen overnight. It’s in the early mornings, the hard lessons, the setbacks, the comebacks, the sacrifices, the quiet prayers, and the moments nobody else sees.

Now look at them… evolving, glowing, and walking into their next chapter with strength, purpose, and style. 🖤

I’m so proud of the humans you’ve become. Not just for the accomplishments, but for your resilience, your hearts, and the way you continue to rise.

This season feels bittersweet because while I’m celebrating who you are becoming, I’m also realizing these moments won’t come around twice.

My babgirl, a proud senior at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School , is officially Student of the Month 👏🏾🐾 #WildcatStrong

And let me tell you… this didn’t just happen overnight. She’s been putting in the work, staying focused, and walking her own path with grace and determination.

Not only is she in the final stretch to graduation 🎓, but she also just PASSED her cosmetology state board AND received her license 💇🏽‍♀️✨

Whew. Baby girl is out here making moves!!

As a twin mom, I’ve watched both of my babies grow in their own ways. And while her brother has had his moments in the spotlight, today… this post is ALL about HER 💖

I am beyond proud of the young woman you’re becoming. Your quiet strength, your consistency, and your drive do not go unnoticed.
