30 years ago I walked into a ceramics one class at BGSU. I didn’t know anything about ceramics, and I had no idea it would change my life. In that studio I found friendships that have lasted all these years. A professor who once intimidated me became one of my best friends.

There’s an opening this Thursday at NCECA celebrating John Balistreri’s 30 years of teaching at Bowling Green the show is called Mass Movement. If you’re at NCECA, please check it out. I’m in China right now so I can’t be there, but if there’s one opening I wouldn’t want to miss, it’s this one. I’m sure there will be many toasts and stories told. I’ll raise mine from here. Here’s to you, John, and everything you’ve done for so many of us. We love you, buddy. by @treyhillstudio
