MOVE THE MOB

Move The Mob brings the program to Country - local Mob trained up as coaches, running weekly sessions for their own community, in their own way.

Culturally led. Community owned.

From the first yarn to the last kilometre, we’re walking alongside - sharing the framework and the pathway. Because the run matters. But so does who’s holding it up on Country.

Along the way, Mob build more than run clubs. They build accredited coaches. They build young leaders who’ll stand on the biggest stages. They build something that keeps going long after we leave.

And when the Sydney Youth Leadership Summit and marathon come around, community walks in together and comes home with a story that’s truly theirs.

MOB THE MARATHON

A 6 month pathway. 30 First Nations adults. One start line.

Mob the Marathon takes Mob from wherever they’re starting - first ever run or seasoned athlete and builds them up, week by week, towards a marathon finish line.

It’s coached. It’s mentored. It’s never done alone.

From the first session to the last kilometre, our coaches are in it: connecting, checking in, and walking alongside every step of the journey. Because the training matters, but so does who you’re doing it with.

Along the way, Mob build more than fitness. They build confidence. They build community. They build belief in themselves and in each other.

And when race day comes, nobody crosses that line by themselves.

For the Mob. By the Mob. Up the Mob. 🖤💛❤️ by @tri_mob

We are excited to announce that TRIMOB's Mob the Marathon team has been named as a finalist at this years @nisfaustralia awards. Big thanks to all the Mob who were apart of our team that ran the @sydney_marathon this year. It is very special to support 24 First Nations people to run a marathon and 15 of those being first timers. Also big thanks to all our partners and the @werunfoundation for providing TRIMOB the opportunity to empower so many Mob. The Mob the Marathon program will be back again in 2027 and we are also looking to scale to a second marathon in 2027. Where should we go ????? by @tri_mob

All the best to everyone racing @ironmanportmacquarie tomorrow. This race holds a special place for TRIMOB as it's the first place our IRONMOB program participants finished an IRONMAN. It was something that had never had happened before a group of Aboriginal people training for and competing an IRONMAN.

Those 6 individuals who stepped up and took a big chance on TriMob are the foundation to why we exist today. Without them we don't exist today.
Those 6 athletes and IRONMAN finishers are @olly.whiteley Koorinya Moreton @mr__landers @leisaleon @dugong2448 @bobbysox7
Their coach the incredible @nathanmillerproject_m from @project.m.training

Big thanks to @ironmantri who backed us helped make it possible. Up The Mob

Kyle will be coached by Thomas Kelly as he puts in the work and builds towards race day.

We’re stoked to have Kyle on the team and can’t wait to follow his journey over the next 14 months!

Movement, health, and cultural pride go hand in hand.

@tri_mob is a First Nations-founded and fully Aboriginal-led non-profit organisation shifting the narrative toward celebrating strengths and self-determination through swimming, cycling, and running. Founded by NAIDOC Sportsperson Award finalist Nat Heath, TRIMOB creates culturally safe sporting spaces and fosters intergenerational wellbeing.

At our First Nations crowdfunding event, TRIMOB will pitch their vision to expand the 'Move the Mob' community running program across ten communities. Funding will upskill local First Nations coaches and scope feasibility research for a dedicated, community-owned, Mob-led flagship running event.

📍 Sydney, NSW (or join online) | 📅 Wednesday, 4 November 2026 | ⏰ 5:30pm – 8:30pm
