the most perfect day!! this encounter with this specific pod has been something i’ve been just barely missing since high school and i can’t believe it finally happened!

normally this pod is sighted in san diego just a few times a year, but we’ve been lucky enough to have them come through every few weeks this fall!

thank you to @osidewhales for making this possible!

Today was magical. I got the ok to jump in with these Spinetail devil rays that were swimming by our boat. It was just me and them out there and I genuinely cannot describe how excited I was. 💙 As always, thank you @osidewhales 💙

Orcas spotted off the coast of California! We joined @osidewhales on their boat and had the most amazing day! 🐼🖤
On top of Orcas we also saw mola molas, dolphins, mobula rays, a sea turtle, and a massive shark that swam under the boat! ( Not sure what kind because it went by so fast! )
If you haven’t gone whale watching @osidewhales is the place to go, Dani is the best! 🚤👨‍✈️

This is a Round Ray! ( Urobatis halleri ) Which also goes by the name Haller’s Round Ray. This species is one of the most commonly seen rays around Southern California! When you think of doing your sting ray shuffle.. remember these are the guys you are mostly watching out for! ☺️ I was so excited to see this one swimming by on Catalina, he was just cruising!

Catalina I love you!

Yesterday I got to hop aboard @divewithkay sail boat! She is based out of Catalina so we took the ferry up to her. We went around Catalina Island and hop out at a couple different spots. It was so exciting exploring new dive sites! The water was insanely crystal clear. We saw abalone, rays, octopus, and so much more. Such a blast.. and on our way in we spotted a shark! Not too sure what kind but we were stoked!! Such an amazing day and epic crew. ⛵️🧜‍♀️

In honor of National Manta Day!! 🤍🥞
Swimming with mantas in Hawaiʻi is one of my favorite memories. You don’t realize how massive they are until one swims right under you!

Brownie points if you can make out what I’m saying.
I was gonna cut out all the audio for this since I sound so silly but it genuinely was one of my happiest moments I’ve had in the water so I wanted to share! This was my first ever interaction with a harbor seal in the water so I was stoked! 🦭
