Learn to weave like a spider on a circular loom.

In this beginner friendly workshop, artist and art teacher Stevie Ballow (@handful.of.stars_sballow & @theartandmakerspace) will help you create a woven wall hanging of your own design.

🕯️CANDLE CRAFT is one of my favorite ways to design a sensory experience and explore my creativity. Each component and step of the process can become an intentional choice: designing the visual aesthetic, evoking particular emotions through scent, and creating a ritual: stir, pour, adorn, light, breathe, gaze… If you’re curious about making your own candles, then I would love to be your guide!

In this 2-hour workshop, I’ll show you the tips and tricks for pouring your own candle, with a bespoke scent I’ve created just for this event. You will design, pour, and adorn your own 8-ounce candle and a matching tealight! Choose from a selection of vessels, wicks, and adornments from my personal stores (crystals, herbs, flowers, charms, glitter, etc.) that align with your desired aesthetic, intention, and preferences.

Since we are in that liminal time of year when the weather is shifting and the veil is thinning, our candle craft this month will center around communion with this energy. Perhaps you want to use your candle for quiet meditation, remembering lost loved ones, connecting with the other side, or just creating a cozy vibe. I will provide all the materials and instructions. You will leave with new knowledge and two candles you make yourself!
