we are STILL here!!! it just looks a little different nowadays🥹 and while we are booked and working on other things, our sweet Trío Líneas fills us with lots of love and inspiration🥳 Our art has shifted a bit as we focus on recording projects of our favorite works (commissioned, premiered or all of the above)

John graduate from his DMA program at @umichsmtd and is now collaborating with artists around the country (particularly in Arizona and NY!) all while teaching Music Theory at Hillsdale College🤩
Lexi is now the Assistant Performance Librarian & Concert Programs Manager at @umichsmtd AND Principal flute of Rochester Symphony Orchestra! All while performing and creating with @flydlphn.sextet
And I, Adalus, am working towards my MBA and my Master’s in Arts Administration at @uc_ccm while performing and touring across the country as the newest co-artistic director of @palaverstrings and still working with my beloved @internationalcelloinstitute as their managing director🫡

Needless to say, our hearts are full… as are our schedules — but we want to keep representing this group’s instrumentation and keep expanding the repertoire🥳 if you’d like to collab, DO reach out🤩 taken in Ann Arbor, Michigan by @triolineas

We’re happy and grateful to have been awarded second place at the @nolachamberfest competition!

We have loved interacting with everyone that made possible the events of the past few days! Thanks to @thecityoftomorrow for adjudicating and sharing their artistry with us, AND thanks to Jaren (@jarenatherholt) and the whole krewe (@caleb_plays_horn, @sophiadobbie.flute, @ellie.grossman) for making our time here so beautiful — y’all are AMAZING and we can’t wait to be back! taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @triolineas

Take a break with us and listen to our improv from our last performance in Cincinnati earlier this month.
There’s few experiences quite like letting your mind free to respond and react to your friends’ artistry in real time. How lucky are we to close our eyes, open our ears, and run our minds free. taken in Cincinnati, Ohio by @triolineas

guess the piece, EXTRA HARD EDITION!

I don’t remember the last time I reflected on the topic of how playing music with friends is so much more than just about connection and understanding. This may be obvious to many, but this performance was a reminder that collaborating is heavily dependent on trust. I enjoy sulking on the back and forth and complicity that’s created when one can rest on the knowledge that they’re going to catch you and —not because you owe it to them, but because you want to and because that’s the magic that’s going on in the moment— you’ll catch them.

I am thankful for these special people I get to create this magic with, in way of new music and of values important to us!

Reflecting about grief, time, and nature seemed like big, heavy topics. But they were not scary, but rather a door to open us up to possibilities and ideas that existed within us already. taken in CCM - Werner Recital Hall by @triolineas

RECITAL HARD LAUNCH!!!

We’re excited to be heading back to Cincinnati for Adalus’ Degree Recital on December 4th🥳

BUT ALSO: Catch us at the Cady Room in Ann Arbor this Saturday, November 22nd at 8pm — where we’ll be running our new program: “What if we… t̶a̶l̶k̶ ̶ write about it?" for the first time. It’ll be a night full of reflecting and looking inward🤩

WOOP, WOOP!!!
