Birthday wishes are flying today for Trooper’s lead singer, @paul_laine_music_official! PL brings heart, grit, and one serious set of pipes to every Trooper show, and his new solo record “The Long Road Back” adds another chapter to an already remarkable career. We’re proud of you and thankful to share the stage with you, brother. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Trooper is very thankful for your support here online, and for all the fans who support live Canadian music. Like last night at the @norfolkagsociety Party on the Track concert in Simcoe, Ontario. What happens when Trooper and @finger_eleven get together? The whole town comes out to be a part of the action. Ticket sales had to be cut off as capacity for the festival site was reached, so to those who could not get in, let’s do it all again sometime and Trooper will see you then.

Can you believe it was October 10 and Trooper was still rocking the outdoor stage! Seeing the big lit-up Ferris wheel above thousands of cheering people is always a nice highlight, as is the rock 'n' roll fun and camaraderie between the two bands.

The massive PA was loud, clear, powerful and beautiful thanks to Trooper’s masterful sound technician, Paul Cloutier. Thank you to all the organizers and volunteers who made the magic possible.

The Massive Trooper Touring Machine™ is on its way back home for a few weeks off but then will be right back to Ontario for a run of shows in November:

Sharing a birthdate seems par for the course considering the stories, jokes, miles, and rock 'n' roll these two have shared over the last 30 years. Happy birthday to Scott Brown, who has been laying down the Trooper groove, and to Tour Manager, sound man, and ship captain Paul Cloutier, who has kept The Massive Trooper Touring Machine™ on time and in tune from town to town. Our stage manager is a gifted musician himself, and night after night he keeps the show on track, the gear in hand, and the crew smiling. Thank you, Red Deer, for the love! Yesterday brought a rare afternoon show, a biting cold wind, and a street full of hearty people who came out anyway and welcomed Trooper with open arms.

@recoverydayalberta is a free, province-wide festival series that celebrates mental health and addiction recovery across three cities. Trooper is honoured to be included, and thanks @LastDoor for hosting. The band enjoyed meeting local council members and officials, and their families, and admires the important work everyone is doing.

With a thumping PA and a sharp live video projection system, the production and vibe were excellent. Thank you to the musical acts, the Can't Hardly Play Boys and The Cody Hall Band, and to the Fancy Feather and Grass dancers in their colourful regalia.

Fun aside: Trooper shared a hotel floor with old-school auto collector Mike Hall of Rust Bros, star of the hit Canadian reality TV show Rust Valley Restorers. Gogo thought he must be a bass player and asked him what band he was playing with.

Next up for the Massive Trooper Touring Machine™ is Party on the Track at Norfolk County Fair in Simcoe ON with Finger Eleven (F11), Saturday, October 10.

That was in 2014. It will be interesting to see how many of them come out this Saturday to the free Recovery Day Red Deer street festival with families of their own. by @trooper

Merci beaucoup to everyone who packed into @oktoberfestdesacadiens in Bertrand, New Brunswick last night. A standing crowd more than doubled the town itself, out to smile, dance, and sing along. That's a beautiful testament to the spirit of fun we all share!

The massive tent successively kept out the wind and rain and only added to the romance and unique beauty of this stretch of the Eastern seaboard. The Acadian Peninsula, in the heart of the predominantly French-speaking north of New Brunswick, really brought out the best of the East Coast festival scene.

Thank you to the promoters who brought Trooper out to these shores, and to the other performing acts on the bill: @Spandixx from Moncton and the @PatJGillespie Band from Bouctouche. Special thanks to the deluxe catering crew, who brought their A-game while also feeding a volunteer staff of 200.

From the West Coast to the East Coast and everyone in between, Trooper is always proud to represent Canadian rock music and unity in this country.

The Massive Trooper Touring Machine™ is taking a well-earned break before rolling to Red Deer, Alberta on September 26 for @RecoveryDayAlberta!

The East Coast of Canada represented with explosive energy once again! Halifax night #2 was awesome, and if there was an award for the most casino-gig dancing, this night would be very strong in the running (um, dancing). The sold out crowd in the Bruce Guthro Theatre at @casinonovascotia let loose and created a party to remember. Thank you all for coming out to embrace and support Trooper and live music!

Halifax is a special gem and the cultural heart of Atlantic Canada, so strong and connected to the performing arts. Today also marks three years since we lost Bruce Guthro — a Cape Breton legend whose voice and warmth are still felt in the room that carries his name.

The Massive Trooper Touring Machine™ hit the highway early this morning and is on its way to @oktoberfestdesacadiens in Bertrand, New Brunswick for a new party tonight.

Thank you to the incredible audience who packed the Bruce Guthro Theatre at Casino Nova Scotia to the rafters last night, and to the casino staff for hosting us so warmly. It’s a blast for Trooper as performers to play for a crowd that’s attentive one moment and wild the next — all in the same night.

At 650 seats, this was the most intimate room Trooper has played all summer, and it’s fascinating how much subtlety and detail a performance can hold in a space like that.

Halifax is one of Canada’s great historic cities, and Trooper’s audio footprint hasn’t gotten lost in all these changing tides of time. The band has played here many times over its history, in different seasons and different venues, but always to the same tremendous embrace.

Extra special thanks to Trooper friends Kevin and Karen Lowe, who joined the band dancing onstage. Kevin is a six-time Stanley Cup winner with the Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers, and Karen is a two-time Olympic medalist in alpine skiing — both are Hall of Famers with stunning achievements, and both, it turns out, can hold their own on a Trooper stage.

Here’s a great idea: let’s do it all again tonight! See you there, Maritime friends !

Trooper loves when they get invited to rock around the Peace River Country and last night's show in the @cityofgp was a great example why. @bonnettscentre lived up to its name, with a packed crowd whose energy matched the lineup.

Multi-generational, family-friendly nights like this are a great way to bring communities together. These are days the kids will remember forever, and something everyone can lose themselves in for a night. Seemed like the whole town turned out for Experience GP — food, games, hockey, events, all day long. Amazing atmosphere, and a great way to keep the summer vibe going.

Thank you all for the excellent party and memories, including the musical guests who brought it — @markevich.cs Youth Band, @bradsimsmusic, and @TheNorthbloods. Thanks also for the organic farm-fresh food!

Grande Prairie is also known as Swan City and Trooper knows it's a warm and welcoming stop. We'll look forward to seeing you next time around on our own migration route.
