Also called the switchbacks of Dades Gorge, this road is probably one of the most winding roads you will see in Morocco. Probably also the most famous. The most scenic? In our opinion there are way better views we have seen on other roads in Morocco. But it doesn't take away that it is a beautifull drive and 100% worth it!

Did we drive this road twice just for a video? Yes, Cam did under duress.😂🥲 •

📍 Monkey Fingers Canyon, Morocco.

In the Dades valley you can find this incredible rock formation which if you look closely at the last photo looks like monkey fingers! 🐒

We stayed right in front of the rocks on the parking lot of a hotel which was pretty cool.

Apparently you can do a hike through the Canyon, so we found the trail on AllTrails and set off the next day. Basically half way through we were struggling to find the right way. 😂 We were trying to get over the rocks as we saw a guide going over there when we suddenly heard 'hi guys, how are you?' It turned out to be another guide with a family of 3. After talking with them we tagged along with them the rest of the hike. Lets just say we never would have found our way that direction. 🥲 Walking through the carved out Canyon was incredible and when we came out at the top we had a visit at a 'local family' which lived in the carved out caves where we had some tea.

Hot and exhausted but happy hikers we returned to our little spot in front of the monkey fingers watching the sunset. •

Throwback to one of our favorite sections on the Trans Morocco Trail!

From warning signs, to mountain tracks, to remote villages and filled up vans with people and cargo!😂

Still can't get over how beautifull this area of Morocco is, the Atlas Mountains are definitely one of our favorite spots we went to!🫶

We are no longer in Morocco but still so much photos and videos to come. 🥲 •

📍Todgha Gorge, Morocco.

Meeting Dave & Jen from @losttheplot_adventures in France after they drove all the way from Mongolia we met up again in Morocco in April!

After getting a message we found out we were only 1 hour away from them so we decided to treat ourselves to some good company. 🫶

Enjoying a day of catching up with sun, good food, good wine and a beautifull area we decided to check out the gorge before we continued on the TMT. Driving through it was different as you share the path with people, vendors and other cars.😂 Nonetheless, it was really impressive!

We drove all the way through and up the road. When we came back down again we suddenly saw a troopy we recognised.🥲 We said goodbye that morning but decided to grab some fresh OJ before we went our separate ways.

📍Gara Medouar, Morocco. Also called "Portuguese Prison".

When we heard there was a location nearby where scenes of the James Bond movie 'Spectre' was filmed we had to see this for ourselves ofcourse!

& what an epic location it was. Situated in the middle of nowhere there is this ancient natural amphitheatre which has been used for several purposes over the centuries. It is believed to have been built around the 11th century by the Almoravids to protect the trade city of Sijilmasa near Rissani. Later on it was actually used as a slave enclosure or a prison by the Portuguese as the stories go.

Inside you can see several remains of structures/buildings/walls which have been added over the years for its different purposes. Such an interesting history!

The latest purpose? Being used in movies such as "The Mummy" & "Spectre". Certainly famous by overlanders for the first photo where you can drive your car or motorbike up on the plateau. 🤌

We decided to spent the night just outside of it. •
