North American (NAPF) Championships Meet Recap: 1st Place 🥇

Squat:

230kg/507lb 🔴🔴⚪️ (depth, jury overturned into a good lift)
247.5kg/545lb ⚪️⚪️⚪️
255kg/562.2lb ⚪️🔴⚪️ (shown, one call for depth, +20kg PR)

Bench:

155kg/341lb ⚪️⚪️🔴 (one call for downward motion, this honestly was hard af😭)
157.5kg/347lb ⚪️⚪️⚪️
162.5kg/358lb ⚪️⚪️⚪️ (shown, coaches made some great shirt adjustments that made this one fly, +5kg PR

Deadlift:

205kg/451lb ⚪️⚪️⚪️
220kg/485lb ⚪️⚪️⚪️
230kg/507lb 🔴🔴🔴 (shown, downward motion, just wasn’t the strongest on the day)

Total: 637.5kg/1405lbs (8/9, +15kg PR)

Going into this meet I had pretty high expectations that weren’t fully met, but obviously with international level judging, dealing with travel, and gameday handling the day prior to my competition, this was still a good performance in my opinion given all of these circumstances. Went 8/9, 9/9 on strength but one call on depth for the opener which was immediately overturned by the jury to a good lift, and a call the last deadlift for downward motion. Shoutout to my coach @ope_its_heavy @lemieuxtrainingsystems and @ronnieronnn for being a great handler along with John Burford and the other coaches on the U.S. National Team for helping me with this meet. Also @hayley.kgs for keeping me alive and hydrated (coconut water maxing) throughout this meet and being the best supporter I could ask for.

Time to lock in and be better for next year.

Now only thing left to do is to shoot some hoops at @theranchtc

North American (NAPF) Championships Meet Recap: 1st Place, North American Champion🥇

First off, before I start this meet recap I want to thank every single person that’s supported me along this journey. Shoutout to @ope_its_heavy, Will I honestly don’t know where I’d be without you. Not only have you been a great coach, but a great mentor and friend as well. I remember when I first reached out to you for coaching, my biggest goal was to win the High School State Championships, now here we are winning the North Americans, crazy to think how far we’ve come and we’re not even done yet. @lemieuxtrainingsystems, Craig thank you for dealing with all the shit and stupid questions I ask you, I wouldn’t be in this position without you. Everyone at @totalflexgym and @aspirestrengthsystems whether it’s a side spot, a liftoff, or just pushing me harder, I’m so grateful for a gym community that pushes me toward my goals. @mattdrezz, thank you for helping me with all my nutrition needs. @hayley.kgs, thank you for being my #1 supporter along this journey. Being along my side every meet, dealing with my weight cuts, and having to adjust my equipment, I’m so grateful to have a caring girlfriend. Thank you to Coach John Burford for the amazing meet day handling.

@73.25kg/161.5lb BW

This was my first international full power meet and it’s pretty clear what needs to be worked on going forward. Pretty salty about squats being called on depth, but it’s fair calls and my fault for not upholding the standard. I finally broke my goal of a 500lb deadlift which I’m extremely proud of. Definitely my last meet at 74kg and now it’s time to go up. Not the most competitive meet, but I’m extremely proud of how I got here, starting my powerlifting journey from not being able to bench the bar to deadlifting 500lbs. Thank you so much to everyone that’s supported me along the way. I promise I’ll be back and better. taken in Grand Cayman Marriott Beach Resort by @troyboylifts

Cynthia Lieu Aspire Summer Classic Meet Recap: 1ST PLACE, 9/9, BEST OVERALL LIFTER

Going into this meet, Cynthia had competed 3 months ago at Collegiate Nationals, making this a decently quick turnaround, along with dealing with some school and life things that made training inconsistent to say the the least. Despite these circumstances, Cynthia still managed to come through to the meet, execute a perfect 9/9 day, PR her bench, deadlift, and total, while also breaking an Illinois State Record, along with winning her weight class and Best Overall Lifter for females. I couldn’t be more proud of her performance, and can’t wait for what’s to come next meet. Huge shoutout to @hayley.kgs @bayleed_lifts76 @mudkipfan1234 for helping her in the warm up room while I was meet directing and handling other lifters.

Squat-140kg/308lb (3/3)
Bench-95kg/208lb (3/3, +2.5kg PR, IL Junior State Record)
Deadlift-147.5kg/325lb (3/3, +2.5kg PR)
Total- 382.5kg/841lb (2.5kg PR, 9/9) taken in Milwaukee, Wisconsin by @troyboylifts
