Happy TRSC Tuesday! We're celebrating the last day of the month with a juicy 💦 recap of this year's Black Experience Pavilion at the #RCShow.

Our space capped a successful 3-year run of progress, participation, and possibility in collaboration with @foodpreneurlab. By believing in this initiative in 2024, we've supported 50+ entrepreneurs, lead to 375+ business connections, and have established the Black Experience Pavilion as a must-visit booth at Canada's largest foodservice & hospitality expo. 💥

🎥 Thank you to @introspective.films for bringing our recap vision to life and @jodianne.beckford for our photos!

Year 3 was proudly powered by @cityofto @kraftheinzafhca @fccfoodandbeverage @syscocanada @thegarlandcanada

Tag a friend who missed it!

Recently I completed the Re-Seasoning Coalition’s 6-month Equity & Empowerment in Foodservice program, an experience that challenged me to listen more deeply, reflect on leadership, and better understand how I can create more inclusive, respectful, and supportive kitchen cultures.

As a white woman in foodservice education and leadership, I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning and growing alongside industry peers who care deeply about people, belonging, and the future of hospitality.

This work matters. Strong kitchens are built on more than skill alone, they’re built on trust, safety, respect, and opportunity for everyone.

***Enrollment for the next cohort opens July 2026, with classes beginning August 1. If you work in hospitality or foodservice leadership, I highly encourage looking into this program.

Congratulations graduates! 🎓️ Today, we proudly tip our hats to the first 10 graduates of our Equity & Empowerment in Foodservice e-learning program.

These learners, representing the Culinary Federation, Restaurants Canada, Humber Polytechnic, Holland College, and Farm Credit Canada committed to learning about themselves, others, and the wider foodservice industry through 3 modules of content and 6 Learning Enrichment sessions.

Some began their journey in 2025 and others enrolled at the top of 2026, but all of them took on the personal challenge of understanding the nuances of systemic racism and the importance of using equity to create workplaces where everyone can reach their full potential.

We are so proud of this Class of 2025/26 and we can't wait to see how you put your newfound knowledge to work!

There was something special in the air last Tuesday. 💛

Hire Her Too, powered by High Liner Foods, was a networking mixer built with intention that you could feel in every conversation, every introduction, and every moment of connection.

Black women across the foodservice & hospitality industry came together not just to network, but to be seen, supported, and in community with one another. Employers left inspired and feeling like they were contributing to changing the industry.

To all of our partners who showed up with openness and purpose, thank you for engaging, listening, and investing in what equitable hiring can truly look like.

This is what it looks like when connection is meaningful and opportunity is shared.
We are so grateful to everyone who brought their energy, their openness, and their presence into the room. You made Hire Her, Too another successful event!

If you were there, you know. If you missed it, we hope to see you next time.

Today we celebrate the strength, brilliance, and leadership of women everywhere. 💛

At The Re-Seasoning Coalition, International Women’s Day is a reminder that progress happens when Black women are seen, heard, and given real access to opportunity.

That is exactly why we created Hire Her, Too.

On March 24, we’re bringing Black women in foodservice back together with employers and industry leaders to build meaningful connections, expand opportunities for advancement, and increase representation where it matters.

International Women’s Day is about recognition.

Hire Her, Too is about turning recognition into action.

Join us in celebrating women not just with words, but through intentional spaces that support leadership, visibility, and growth.
