Glasgow-based producer and modular performer TRSSX returns with his second EP this year, following “The Degree of Difference Between Them” on Zhark Recordings Berlin released in April, and a more recent appearance on Hardwired, a compilation compiled by JakoJako and released on Air Texture. "A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason” follows the path of modular industrial distortion and techno-trajectories performed live.

My new EP “The Degree of Difference Between Them” is out today on one of my favourite labels Zhark Recordings Berlin. Thank you Kareem for making this happen. 12” vinyl available on Zhark Bandcamp and soon in good vinyl outlets.

The photo comes from my archive from a time just before the conception of this project. The sound has changed since and it means a lot for some of this material to end up on a label like Zhark with releases from Kareem, Orphx, Huren and others in this lineage of real industrial and noise techno. @zharkrecordings

Let me know how you like the EP. The Orphx show at EXIT on 25.04 will be kind of a release party and I might have a few copies by then.

Concert 05 proceeds from the premise that sound does not merely occupy space but composes it. Two custom-built 3-9-3 3D-audio sound projectors and four ME Geithain RL 900 loudspeakers constitute an advanced loudspeaker environment, forming sculptural sound phenomena that are materially present within the room.

@trssx_ presents an analogue synthesiser set spatialised through the Ambrio Mixer (@ambriosound), a singular spatial audio tool conceived for DJ performance, extending an open invitation to listen from within.

In ‘BirdL0re’ by @gksh_lab and @meinradkneer, the double bass enters into an exchange with the sound projectors that may be described as hybrid spatiology. Here, instrumental gesture and its spatial projection become mutually constitutive to the point of indistinction. The work then withdraws into a solo, returning attention to the instrument’s own body as a site of resonance.

In the foyer, Boris Eldagsen’s AI-generated audio-visual installation carries ‘Beyond Presence’ into the latent spaces of machine learning.

EXIT CLUB falling on Halloween calls for an expanded industrial celebration.

For the first time in the club, the enigmatic Headless Horseman will deliver his piercing live set of shadowy techno. Joining him after almost two years will be none other than Rrose, also presenting a live set of extensive hypnosis and time shifting rhythmic textures. EXIT’s TRSSX will be setting the tone before in a b2b set with Salon Des Amateurs’ long-standing affiliate Marc Matter, with Lizzie Urquhart on warm-up duties for an early start to the proceedings.

This Saturday I’m beyond honoured to be performing with Cinder @touchedraw as Cindytalk as part of EXIT X KAOS @kaoslondon

I remember going to a Kaos night at Electrowerkz in London with Rrose in 2020 which was my last night out before COVID fully kicked in. Choronzon aka Lee Adams was closing. All my friends were gone by that point. The lights went on and I was still dancing. Then I walked back to my rather shitty place in Finsbury Park. It was a brisk sunny February Sunday morning. Somehow 6+ years later the paths will cross again.

All my friends and people here - EXIT and KAOS will be waiting for you on Saturday.

I don’t usually like my radio shows at all, perhaps because it is this solitary but performative act at the same time. This one however finally felt pretty good. Lots of quite fresh records I recently got. It’s probably a direction you could hear me go in playing the club. Support your local and not so local labels and record shops by the way. And your local independent radio station. And your club. And your local producers and DJs. The list goes on…

As part of our collaboration with @kaoslondon on Saturday 3 October, we will welcome Cindytalk back to the club. Following up from the energy-shifting, blinding performance in May 2025, this time Cinder joins sonic forces with EXIT’s TRSSX for a one-off exploration of abstract ghostliness and subterranean implosion.

Cinder is a seminal and enigmatic figure in the British underground music scene over the past four decades. An experimental composer and vocalist originally from Scotland, Cinder first released work with The Freeze, including the In Colour EP on an independent Scottish label in 1979. Following three John Peel sessions including one with Cocteau Twins, the band evolved into Cindytalk, which became the primary outlet for Cinder’s solo work. Cindytalk has toured worldwide, consistently pushing the boundaries of experimental music. Last series of releases include, The Labyrinth Of The Straight Line ( Editions Mego), Subterminal (False Walls), When The Moon Is A Thread (LINE: Sound Art Editions), Sunset And Forever (Helen Scarsdale Agency), That We Must Pass Through This Life (Line: Sound Art Editions ) & People Are imaginary (False Walls).

NEXUS is the project of B4MBA and MOOKI6, members of Barcelona-based Pan-African multidisciplinary Jokkoo Collective.

Born as an answer to a collapsing world, their sound is rooted in ancestral rhythms and deep, dark frequencies, drawing from punk, industrial, dancehall, noise and trap. Exploring the tension between darkness and illumination, each set becomes a sonic offering — chaotic, cathartic and fiercely alive.

KEEPSAKES — DJ

Keepsakes, the alias of British-New Zealand producer and DJ James Barrett, has been a distinctive voice in techno the past 10+ years. His powerful, menacing yet often playful productions have appeared on Boys Noize Records, Turbo Recordings, Perc Trax, MORD, KAOS/OAKS and more.

TRSSX — LIVE

Co-founder of Glasgow club EXIT and head of Wodawater, TRSSX brings industrialised techno forms and modular signals to their live sets.

London-based producer, DJ and curator blending Afro, Caribbean, Latinx and UK underground sounds, from soca and dembow to jungle, garage and dubstep.

EXIT is joining forces with KAOS, the influential industrial and experimental dancefloor sonics party led by Choronzon aka Lee Adams.

CINDYTALK (Cinder+TRSSX) (live)

CHORONZON
Based between Athens and London, Lee Adams is a multi-media artist, DJ and curator. Working under the name Choronzon he plays expansive and cinematic DJ sets fusing elements of bass, techno, dub and experimental electronics for clubs, galleries and festivals across Europe, North Africa and West Asia. He runs Khemia Records and also curates the Kaos London Podcast series.

AUTUMNS (live)
Autumns is an electronic post-punk project blending whip-cracked rhythms, heavily effected vocals, no-wave guitars, and dub-driven mixing desk techniques. Known for a distinct fusion of DIY punk angst, dysfunctional metal dance, and dubbed-out rhythms, Autumns delivers high-impact performances using minimal equipment.

PROTEUS
Proteus explores industrial, experimental, and modernist electronics. From the avant-garde pioneers of electronic music, to the raging industrial techno of today. A cross section thread of the dark and challenging, celebrating the urge to dance and move through caustic noise.

Concert 04 approaches vocal identity not as pre-existing or stable, but as a performative effect. In “Vocal Systems”, this process unfolds through the co-constitution of human and machine, extending voice beyond the human body into networked technical infrastructures.
In the foyer, Boris Eldagsen continues this inquiry through an AI-generated audio-visual installation. The work further unsettles the distinction between human expression and technological operation, foregrounding the relational processes through which both subjectivity and technical agency emerge.
