Don’t forget, at this Friday’s special EXIT occasion we are celebrating the release of co-founder TRSSX’s new record ‘A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason’ on Wodawater.

His DJ sets throughout this dark & long night will be inspired by the release and the creative output of our guests.

The record will be available to purchase on vinyl upstairs for £10.

Glasgow-based producer and modular performer TRSSX returns with his second EP this year, following “The Degree of Difference Between Them” on Zhark Recordings Berlin released in April, and a more recent appearance on Hardwired, a compilation compiled by JakoJako and released on Air Texture. “A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason” follows the path of modular industrial distortion and techno-trajectories performed live. A more narrative structure emerges, with experimental noise framing devices and disintegrated, granular voices coming to the surface.

The club has single handedly transformed the city’s nightlife into a more expansive and experimental space, booking house, techno, and jungle alongside punk bands, dance ensembles, and everything in between. “Splitter Index” by @gksh_lab and @trssx__ as p4rticl3 is out today on our Bandcamp, good record stores as limited edition 12” vinyl and some streaming platforms.

“Splitter Index” is a debut release by p4rticl3, a duo consisting of Berlin-based Gerriet Krishna Sharma, co-founder of spæs lab Berlin, and Glasgow-based TRSSX. Presented and recorded entirely live at EXIT Glasgow in November 2024, “Splitter Archive” was a 4-channel abstract electronics performance presented as part of a larger collaboration between EXIT and spæs lab. This particular ‘archive’ catalogues intricate granularity and looped swells of low frequencies generating a multitude of vertiginous spatio-temporal planes. Abstract, experimental techno-esque structures.

Today, we’re launching OAOE - a new experimental vinyl series within Wodawater (WDWTR).

OAOE001 - “Machine Against Rage” - features spatial sound and Philip K. Dick inspired sonic experiments by Verena Lercher and Miko Szatko (aka @trssx__ ). They’ve have been working together on sound pieces involving real and cloned voice, feedback, turntablism and noise for a few years now, recording most of this material at spæs lab Berlin, housed within Funkhaus in the German capital. All of the compositions on OAOE001 come from the spatial interactions between an IKO (the 20-membrane speaker-instrument developed by Gerriet Krishna Sharma and IEM in Graz), turntable needle, lathe-cut records, artificial and real voice, and space.
