TRSSX enters the archive with something closer to a document than a DJ set. In the interview he talks about EXIT in Glasgow as an actual exit from the simulated and the frictionless, a place for real people, real music, real rooms. This mix is that idea pressed into motion. 86 minutes. Three turntables. All vinyl. Many records exchanged hand-to-hand with the artists who made them. It moves from dronal suspension into fractured polyrhythms and corroded industrial pressure, then opens into orchestral dissolution, patient and physical, built for bodies not feeds. His DJ sets throughout this dark & long night will be inspired by the release and the creative output of our guests. The record will be available to purchase on vinyl upstairs for £10. @trssx__ @wodawater Glasgow-based producer and modular performer TRSSX returns with his second EP this year, following “The Degree of Difference Between Them” on Zhark Recordings Berlin released in April, and a more recent appearance on Hardwired, a compilation compiled by JakoJako and released on Air Texture. “A Mass Deliberately Deprives Itself of Reason” follows the path of modular industrial distortion and techno-trajectories performed live. Winter’s almost over yeah right In the first days of spring on 28.03 EXIT will go SUPER partnering with @supertouchdiy in bringing some truly great people @wolstakaakiitoh and @alxp_314 . @3rdcrush_ and I will get the club ready from 2100. This is kind of not a joke. TICKETS ON RA. In the meantime, I have a record coming out in two weeks on March 17 entitled “Machine Against Rage” that I made under my “alias” @miko_szatko in collaboration with @verena_lercher . The 12” is available for preorder in a few outlets and @wodawater Bandcamp. This is part of the new experimental series OAOE. W O D A W A T E R If you’ve read this far here’s a little tip - EXIT will host some true industrial legends Orphx on 25.04, hasn’t been announced but tickets are already flying on RA. Get yours if you can. This will be an unofficial release party for the new TRSSX EP coming out on a very esteemed industrial Berlin-based label that I look forward to sharing with you. SPAES LAB BERLIN x EXIT GLASGOW x WODAWATER Thank you everyone who participated in last month’s special events at EXIT. I hope this was as inspiring a weekend to you as it was for us involved in the making of it. Thank you @gksh_lab @verena_lercher @spaeslab @jorgeboehringer and @creativescots for supporting this project. This is not the end of this endeavour - 2025 will be the year of experimental and spatial sound at EXIT and @wodawater - I’m launching a new series within the label called OAOE, and two first releases will be out on vinyl in the first half of the year. SPAES LAB BERLIN X EXIT SPATIAL AUDIO WORKSHOP OPEN CALL Link in bio Sign up to participate in a free two-day workshop on the 9th and 10th of November on spatial audio techniques and tools, including hands-on experience with the IKO. Developed by Gerriet Krishna Sharma and IEM in Graz, this innovative loudspeaker-instrument features a housing with 20 individually-driven speakers and utilises a beam-forming algorithm in Ambisonics to project 3D sound onto architectural surfaces such as floors, ceilings, and walls. The workshop, led by Gerriet Krishna Sharma, is part of a collaborative effort between spaes: Lab for Spatial Aesthetics in Sound Berlin, EXIT Glasgow and the label Wodawater. 40 spaces available. Please respond to the questions below to help us select the most interested and passionate people. Some spaces are reserved to young adults 18-25 years of age - you are encouraged to apply, as well as any music and sound enthusiasts who have faced any barriers in music production, performance, etc. Deadline to apply is October 25th. Exactly half a year ago, we threw in Kraków the 2nd @wodawater release gig that marked an inaugural moment for @trssx__’s new EP. Using her raw video-art craft, @lyanadoma has created for us an incredible hendheld footage that I have a chance to share here for the first time. ‘Deforming Assimilation’ [WDWTR013] by @trssx__ is an outstanding work that resonates with ominous and distorted modular sounds where ruthlessness meets anthropomorphic fragility. We're very excited to have TRSSX supporting Prison Religion @prisonreligion at @theflyingduckglasgow next Sunday. TRSSX is a Polish-born artist based in Glasgow. His performances utilise live modular synthesis to create deft cuts of noise and polyrhythmic electronics. Through releases on his own label @wodawater along with running the regular Fundamentals night at Stereo and The Flying Duck, TRSSX has proven himself as a unique voice in Glasgow's experimental and electronic scenes.
