Thanks to @tilttopliving, I learned about a good deal on a nearby early washstand. Purchased and picked it up at one of the original Crawford Dairy barns on this gorgeous winter morning. The nice man also had these mid century cases, which I will use to hold mementos in the boys’ rooms. I lurv old things, maybe too much. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They have soul. ❤️ by @trudylonegan

Earlier this year, I turned Ryan’s room into a more comfortable guest room, still with his stamp on it. Bye twin, hello queen. Walls, ceiling and trim got covered in #denimesfarrowandball paint. I hung an @overstock @safavieh safavieh rug on the wall as a headboard, and put a vintage rug on the floor. The dressers Steve made for Ryan stayed. One moved into the closet where some of his momentos rest on/above it. Wall art consists of original watercolors Ryan brought back from Nepal, a Nepali store advert (all in inexpensive Amazon gold frames) and a Cathy Lonegan painting. The nightstands are custom from @stewdiocustomsteel. Steve also built the mission-style bookcase back when Ryan was small. This little room feels like a hug to me. by @trudylonegan

Just for us this year. Exhausting but rewarding! This tree was a bear, but I love his wonkiness. Favorite time of year....and man am I going to miss socializing and family visits! by @trudylonegan

Found a pair of solid marble lamps, maybe Deco era. I can’t find any seams. I am in love, and will move them around our home for the rest of my life. One is currently next to the bust my Mom bought my Grandma in the 60s or 70s, and the other next to our bed. Not literal treasure...but they are to me. Possibly my all time favorite purchase for myself. 🖤🤍🖤🤍 taken in Chapel Hill, North Carolina by @trudylonegan

A few random shots from the last 7 days. Porter is settled and loving UNCW. Ryan is so happy to be back with friends at Sewanee. (No pics - he moved himself). Steve and I got to have a soft landing into our quiet nest by visiting our friend’s beautiful beach house. And now a turtle finds company in a mirror in our driveway. All is well and I’m so hopeful it stays that way for a good while. For you, too!! ❤️❤️❤️ by @trudylonegan
