Back for another installment of COMMUNITY HEROS HIGHLIGHTED! This week we focused on @dorianarchie1 , a young man from the great state of Texas by way of Houston . Dorian has been a long time support of the AyeChoEmi community and even lended some of his carpentry skills to assist in building it to what it is today . A member of the Kappa Fraternity and a leader and warrior with the fight against Sicklecell in the black community Dorian has facilitated numerous blood drives to create awareness to the disease and advocacy for finding a cure. Dorian also is an avid chess player that will rarely if ever turn down a good chess match. Along with his fluffy puppy Captain We salute you and all that you bring to the village. by @truhim

I would like to thank you for taking timeout to acknowledge my existence. It is comforting to know I matter to you in some way. If I am being honest my scale has been teetering between being grateful and heartbroken. This is the first born day I have spent without the person who birthed me. Although I did receive a gift from her, I would have much rather had a hug and kiss. So is the cycle of life. I am appreciative of the hug and kiss I was given by my daughter. I am appreciative of the gifts that my lovely partner @adjoasmoment has blessed me with. This is 47. May the Scales continue to tip in my favor as I continue on my mission of being a H.ueman E.xpressing/ E.xperiencing C.ompassionate A.ctions #hecamoments #libragang by @truhim

So yesterday I was babysitting and the kids were getting restless. A #hecamoment. So we made opened up a #watermelonstand and they learned about #entrepreneurship by creating a sign to market the melons from a black owned farm named @calibbeanfarm. Needless to say they were no longer bored and were happy to make some money. @ivobuhles @heyitsnicoleb. #thebabiesdaddy #fatherhoodrocks by @truhim

So as #bossman @akilisfree was running back and forth between @themarathonclothing store for their community give away. I was left to hold down @solefolks with @tbd_mpd and @changethetune for our #turkeygiveaway . Teaching baby girl. About the importance of #beingofservice and #beingthecause for bettering the #community . I am thankful that I get to call #leimertpark #homebase and get to live my #purposedrivenlife in this space. I am the hidden force behind the visible God. I am #HECAMOMENT . It is with the deepest sense of #Gratitude that I say #Youmatter. God's answer to a prayer to provide water to the people so the Green's can grow was manifested on this day in 2018. From that moment on the nurturing that you have provided me has been invaluable. There were 3 things that I would use to measure if I was doing a service to you as your dad. 1. Be strong willed . You have been unwavering in the choices you have made for yourself and I have learned to trust you when you tell me you have made up your mind on something. 2. Be a critical thinker . There have been numerous times when I have asked you to explain yourself the most recent being when you chose the outfits for your school picture and the logic you used to choose one dress because the whole outfit could be seen in the class picture vs. it being cut off in the single picture. 3. Be a hard worker. I have witnessed you learning your letters and counting your numbers over the last couple of years and now it has all come together with you reading books and loving to do math problems, giving you a new sense of freedom and curiosity for the world around you. I love the way you challenge me to be better. I love the way we relate to one another and the person of good character you are becoming. I have listened to the conversation you have with your friends and how you lead them to do the right things or how you will not participate in doing something you know will not lead to a positive outcome. I am proud to be your " The Babies Daddy" . Happy Birthday 🎉🎂 may this day bring you joy, cake, and candy. And, may this day provide you a comfort in knowing you were born with everything you need to make your dreams a reality. May this day affirm that YOU MATTER💞❤️💓👸🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾.
