Baby girl I can’t believe you’re gone. I love you so dearly and the world is too quiet without your gentle snoring. Rest in peace Tori.

30 Days 30 Albums Days 7,8,9: Tom Waits-stravaganza! I’m really bad at remembering to do this, so here’s 3 more Tom Waits albums that simultaneously thrill me and give me nightmares! #30days30albums #tomwaits #raindogs #theblackrider #bloodmoney by @trustedslab

30 Days 30 Albums, Day 6: New Favorite - Allison Krauss + Union Station. One of my favorite country albums shows a broad range of style between the performers. Two of the best from this album are “Daylight” and “I’m Gone,” both sang by Allison Krauss. #30days30albums #allisonkrauss by @trustedslab

30 Days 30 Albums, Day 5: Five Leaves Left- Nick Drake. This is the first record I bought with my own money, and man it was kind of expensive. There is so much mystery and sorrow around Nick Drake which makes his albums collectibles, especially original print. This album contains some seminal works as “Fruit Tree,” a song about gaining fame after your death, which ironically was Nick Drake’s fate, “Way to Blue,” and my favorite, “River Man,” which was the first song I ever heard and recognized as being in 5/4 time back when I was 8 or so. Nick Drake only ever released 3 studio albums, Five Leaves Left being the first. In my opinion, this one contains the most gems. #30days30albums #nickdrake #fiveleavesleft by @trustedslab

30 Days 30 Albums Days 3-4: Fear - Toad the Wet Sprocket & Rats - Sass Jordan. I was so busy yesterday trying to get people to come to my Zoom party I forgot to post! I’m making up for it now. Out of a great discography, I feel that Toad’s album “Fear” has the most gems, including my favorite song by them, “Butterflies.” It’s a song that feels spiritual about nature and science and art. The harmonies are awesome and it has a very subtle kalimba riff that kicks ass. Sass Jordan’s “Rats” is not her most well-known album, but it is the one that I always think of first when she’s brought up. A southern rock band from Quebec, they have such an air of raw frustration that comes out in songs like “Damaged” and “Head.” Her voice sounds like a beautifully yelling cat. #30days30albums by @trustedslab
