As September slowly creeps in, we’re venturing to one of Cardiff’s finest spots for an evening of music, mischief @paradisegardencdf

Joining us is one of Wales’ very own, @_sadsugar_ We’ve spent many hours with their excellent Noods Radio show Twist, as well as catching them in action whenever the stars align.

Their sets are packed full of curveballs, forgotten gems and the sort of records that make you wanna hug your mates, scream for joy and just let it all out on the DF.

Support comes from Trust Exercises community liaison officer @ishy0 , warming things up with a bag full of rhythm-forward oddities, wheel-ups and the occasional clanger.

The @dime.shift boss has curated what is undeniably one of the most exciting labels in the world of UK bass music, twisting early dubstep and dark garage into new shapes. He’s a force to be reckoned with in the studio too, with his recent release on the ever inspiring @spec_records seeing spins from the likes of Pinch and more.

🪂ARTIST ANNOUNCEMENT: Dom Carlo (b2b Axle) 🪂

Few combinations on the line-up feel as naturally suited to a soundsystem session as @dom__carlo and @axle_sound

Both are selectors with a deep appreciation for bass weight, space and groove, and together they’ll be digging into a palette informed by early dubstep, UK soundsystem culture and percussive oddities. Expect dubbed-out textures and low-end frequencies designed to lock dancers into the groove for the long haul.

Dom’s recent Cycles EP is a masterclass in the art of the club tool, as he lets billowing synth chords drift across nimble percussion programming and sturdy sub bass.

London based Kutchi @meghowardd has been quickly establishing herself as a name to watch, stepping up for the like of @keephush_ and making regular appearances on Aaja and Voices Radio. Her versatile style encompasses everything from dubbed out UK techno to sleazy prog trance whilst always staying focused on the dancefloor.

In a time where multi genre lineups have become the norm rather than the exception, there’s something special about a DJ who bucks the trends to hones in on a sound. @amaia__dj is one of the South West’s finest purveyors of 140bpm, with a record bag that honours the murky, eyes down sounds of yesteryear whilst celebrating the technical ingenuity of the scene’s current producers. As the co- founder of the trailblazing Misscoteque party and a long standing Noods Radio resident, they’re someone who sees the power of the dance to build community beyond the front left.

We’re delighted to welcome Bruce for a very special headline appearance.

As the driving force behind Poorly Knit and one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary club music, Bruce has spent the last decade forging a path entirely his own. Equally comfortable navigating soundsystem pressure, psychedelic mutations and leftfield grooves, his productions and DJ sets have consistently pushed beyond easy categorisation.

Whether releasing on Timedance and Hessle Audio, curating his own catalogue of adventurous music through Poorly Knit, or taking listeners on unexpected journeys behind the decks, Bruce approaches music with curiosity and fearlessness and has been a constant source of inspiration for us over the years by @trustexercises

🚨LINEUP UPDATE - Our biggest barn dance to date just got even bigger ‼️

@theciderbox have given us the license to go through until 2am - so we’re bringing some more friends for the ride, as well as bringing in @murmur.sound.system :

@snapsofbruce will be stepping up for a very special headline slot. The @poorlyknit_uk boss’s work in the studio and behind the booth has been a constant source of inspiration for us over the years. Bring an open mind and wade in with us.

@dom__carlo and @axle_sound will be teaming up to bring a selection of dubwise pressure, invoking the palettes of early dubstep and Livity Sound as the framework for their forward thinking dancefloor grooves.

@hey____wood and Sarge will be coming up from London to open things up with a record bag full of tasty house and techno treats.

🪂 We’re rounding out summer with a day-to-night bassweight special, hoisting the mast at @theciderbox and sailing on into the sunset.

TONIGHT - TRUST EXERCISES - AND THE PROCESS

Its a trust the process type of night with Trust Exercises thus time joined by Vinda, a DJ, selector and promoter who’s been steadily building a name for himself through his work with LAYA/TALA. A party series dedicated to championing artists from underrepresented backgrounds across experimental, bass-heavy and forward-thinking club music. Together with co-founder Mossambi, he’s been creating spaces for genre-bending sounds and shining a light on artists who don’t always get the spotlight they deserve.

Whether behind the decks or curating line-ups, Vinda brings a deep love for adventurous club music, blending weighty bass, leftfield rhythms and unexpected turns that keep dancefloors on their toes.We’re leaving the soft furnishings behind for this one and diving straight into the more experimental end of the spectrum. Expect weird sounds, low-end pressure and plenty of forward-thinking selections.
