Is ‘Acid’ and LSD the same thing?? 🗣YES.

Many reports by the FDA name lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) as the most “classic” of hallucinogens. According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug use and Health, approximately 16% of the adult population in the US (approx 43.3m people) have tried hallucinogens. Hallucinogens are the second most frequently used ‘illicit’ drug class in the US, after marijuana. In the same study, 3 million more people reported trying hallucinogens versus cocaine. by @tryp.co

With more financing, press and motions towards legalization than ever before, we celebrate @mapsnews @imperialcollege @johnhopkinsmedicalcenter @nyuniversity whose extraordinary research and guidance serves as the backbone for the advancements in psychedelics today. We work to share their research to draw awareness not just to the compounds themselves, but to their potential to expand access to effective mental health treatment globally.

“In the United States, 60% of state counties do not have a psychiatrist, meaning 80% of antidepressant prescriptions are authorised by a GP, as opposed to a specialist.” - JR Rahn, for @financialtimes

In conjunction with the robust financing pouring into the psychedelic space, responsible manufacturing and distribution is still in development. Studying the current over distribution of antidepressants, how do we build new structures for prescription and consumption?
