HIGH-PROTEIN TURKISH ROLLS 🥭✨ Creamy rabri, kesar, pista and a delicious mango twist! 🤌🏻 I gave this Turkish-inspired dessert a high-protein makeover using paneer, milk and my favourite flavour for this recipe: TSA TEKK Mango Whey! 🥭 The mango flavour works beautifully with the creamy paneer and saffron. If you want to try the same whey, use my code SONAL at checkout, subject to the brand’s terms. INGREDIENTS For the rolls: • 100 g paneer • 250 ml toned milk • ¾ scoop TSA TEKK Mango Whey • 15 g desiccated coconut • 20 g chopped pistachios • A few strands of saffron • 5 ml ghee for greasing For the rabri: • 500 ml toned milk • 1 tbsp custard powder • ¾ scoop TSA TEKK Mango Whey • Saffron-infused milk • Sugar or dates, optional For garnishing: • Chopped pistachios • Saffron strands • Pomegranate seeds METHOD 1️⃣ Blend the paneer, milk, saffron-infused milk and ¾ scoop mango whey until smooth. 2️⃣ Grease a tray with a little ghee. Spread the shredded coconut, pour the paneer mixture into a thin layer and sprinkle chopped pistachios on top. 3️⃣ Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm. 4️⃣ Meanwhile, simmer 500 ml milk until it reduces approximately by half. Mix the custard powder with a little cold milk, add it to the pan and stir continuously until creamy. Cool completely, then mix in the remaining ¾ scoop whey. 5️⃣ Cut the chilled paneer mixture into six portions and gently roll each piece using a clean spatula. 6️⃣ Place the rolls in a serving dish, pour over the chilled rabri and garnish with pistachios, saffron and pomegranate. NUTRITION ESTIMATE Total recipe: approximately 1,200 kcal Makes: 6 rolls Per roll: approximately 200 kcal Protein per roll: approximately 14 g Estimates assume 750 ml toned milk, 100 g paneer, 1.5 scoops whey, 20 g pistachios, 15 g coconut, 1 tbsp custard powder and 5 ml ghee. Actual values vary by brand and recipe. Added sugar or dates will increase calories. Save this recipe for your next dessert craving! ❤️ Send it to someone who loves Indian desserts but wants to increase their protein intake. #HighProteinDessert #HealthyDessert # by @tsatekk
How is fermented yeast protein made? Yeast is a tiny microorganism naturally found on fruits, plants and in soil. 🔬 Here’s how it becomes protein powder: 1️⃣ Scientists select a suitable yeast strain and grow it in fermentation tanks. 2️⃣ The yeast is fed sugar, nitrogen and minerals, with oxygen supplied to help it grow and multiply. 3️⃣ As it grows, the yeast naturally produces protein inside its cells. 4️⃣ The yeast cells are then collected, processed to concentrate the protein and dried into a fine powder. That’s it! 🌱 Unlike whey protein, which comes from milk, fermented yeast protein comes from the yeast cells themselves. A fascinating example of how biotechnology can produce protein without animals! by @tsatekk
From yellow peas to protein powder 🌱 1️⃣ Peas are cleaned, their outer skins removed, and ground into flour. 2️⃣ Water and controlled pH help extract the protein. 3️⃣ Most starch and fibre are separated out. 4️⃣ The pH is changed to collect the protein, which is then washed and refined. 5️⃣ Spray-drying removes water, leaving fine pea protein isolate. At TSA TEKK, we blend it with rice protein for a better essential amino acid balance, with cocoa and coffee creating our Café Mocha flavour. ☕🍫 by @tsatekk
We’ve been sharing a few recipes with our TSA TEKK customers and community, and they’ve absolutely loved them! So we decided to put together 4 of our favourites using our Café Mocha Plant Protein. But there’s also some interesting food science behind why these recipes work! Pea and rice proteins can naturally have a slightly chalky or grainy mouthfeel. At TSA TEKK, we’ve worked hard on our formulation to minimise this. Here’s a simple food science trick: Add ingredients that improve creaminess! Fat matters: Ingredients like cashews, peanut butter and milk can improve lubrication in the mouth, making protein shakes feel smoother and creamier. Texture matters too: Bananas, oats and yoghurt add thickness, which can help reduce the perception of graininess. Blending matters: Proper blending helps disperse protein particles and reduces clumping. Fat doesn’t magically eliminate chalkiness, but the right combination of ingredients can make plant protein much more enjoyable! Swipe through for 4 easy, delicious recipes featuring coffee, chocolate, cashews, peanut butter and bananas. Each recipe uses our TSA TEKK Café Mocha Plant Protein Sometimes, good food science is as simple as adding a spoonful of peanut butter! Why is whey protein getting expensive, and when could prices come down? 🥛📈 At TSA TEKK, some of our raw whey orders are already 4–6 weeks late, delaying the restocking of products like Malai Kulfi whey and our protein sachets. We’re not alone. The global whey market has been facing supply shortages, rising prices, higher minimum order quantities (MOQs) and shipment delays. Why is this happening? Global demand for high-protein ingredients such as WPC80 and WPI90 has grown faster than production capacity. India imports an estimated 80–90% of its supplement-grade whey, making Indian brands particularly vulnerable to global supply disruptions. The good news? 📉 European wholesale whey prices have recently started falling: • WPC80: ↓17% • WPI90: ↓7% However, these reductions haven’t fully reached India yet. When could Indian whey prices fall? My tentative estimates for March–April 2027: WPC80: ₹2,500–3,000/kg (Currently ₹3,200–3,600) WPI90: ₹3,300–3,800/kg (Currently ₹3,800–4,500) These are estimated bulk raw-material prices, not retail supplement prices, and reductions are not guaranteed. I expect Indian prices to remain elevated in the short term, with possible relief in early 2027 as global supply improves. Even when European prices fall, it can take months for those reductions to reach Indian consumers. For TSA TEKK customers: We’re actively working to restock our products, although some delays remain outside our control. I wanted to share what’s happening behind the scenes rather than leave customers wondering why products are unavailable or becoming more expensive. by @tsatekk

Whey existed long before gyms, protein shakers and supplements! And I’m glad nobody called it “coagulated cheese juice.” Over 2,000 years ago, ancient Indian texts already described whey! A 2013 study examined Vedic and Pāli literature (1200–300 BCE) and identified: • Āmikṣā — Cottage-cheese-like curds. • Vājina — Whey, the liquid separated from curds. Whey also has centuries of documented history in European dairy processing and consumption. So what’s actually modern? The technology! Advanced filtration and drying allow us to concentrate milk proteins into whey protein powders. The technology has evolved. The protein itself isn’t a modern invention! At TSA TEKK, we combine dairy science with modern technology: ✅ European-sourced whey protein. ✅ Independent laboratory testing with accessible reports. ✅ Our new unflavoured whey isolate: 29 g protein per 33 g scoop, just 4 ingredients, with smooth texture and easy mixing. Whey isn’t some recently invented artificial substance. It’s a naturally occurring dairy product with thousands of years of history! Share this with family and friends who think whey was invented for bodybuilders! https://tsatekk.com/27g-protein Scientific references: 1. Hirata et al.
