Proof that the guest bath deserves good art, too.
A small space is the perfect place to do something beautiful and unexpected. Art turns a functional room into a finished one—and no wall is too small to make an impact. ✨ taken in Jackson, Mississippi by @tsgjacksonms

Several weeks ago, I had the pleasure of stepping into the kitchen at WLBT Today at 11 for a live cooking segment with someone I’m so proud to call my friend, Jessica Wilkinson. 🤍

Together, we made Bowman Summer Pasta - a simple, fresh dish that my family and I have loved for many years. And this particular bowl of pasta felt a little more special than usual.

This summer, I planted my very first garden. 🌿🍅

My amazing mother, Virginia Dare, had the most incredible green thumb. She could grow just about anything, and as much as I have tried through the years, I have never seemed to inherit that particular gift. 😂 But this year, I decided to try anyway.

And guess what? I actually grew things.

I learned a lot—what to do, what not to do, what I’ll change next year, and maybe a few little life lessons along the way. There was something incredibly satisfying about walking outside, picking tomatoes and fresh basil that I had actually grown, and bringing them into my kitchen.

So this little meal became a celebration of sorts—a celebration of my first garden, my little summer harvest, family traditions, and the simple joy of creating something with what you’ve grown. 🍅🌿

I was also thrilled to use Avohass Avocado Oil, created by my incredible sister-in-law, Amy Bowman. I am SO proud of her and what she has built, and being able to incorporate something she created into a recipe filled with so many personal connections made the moment even sweeter.

The segment was part personal and part professional—our little “What’s The Scout Guide Cooking Up?” moment—but if you know me, you know that work and life tend to beautifully intertwine around here. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

A little WLBT family time. A little gardening. A little Scout Guide. A lot of laughter. And one really delicious bowl of Bowman Summer Pasta.*🤍

Maybe Mom’s green thumb found its way to me after all. 🌿

Stay tuned… taken in WLBT 3 On Your Side by @tsgjacksonms

Nature is the ultimate colorist. 🦋

Unexpected. Brilliant. A little wild.

We paired some of nature’s most incredible moths with The Scout Guide covers that speak their language.

Which color combination would you want to collect?

And maybe more importantly... which one feels like
Volume 4? 👀

In Living Color. Unmistakably Local.
