Often times the most efficient route up the mountain is not the most direct path… move with intention, listen sensitively, embrace change, act appropriately. Thankful to start my 34th year amidst the mountains embracing these lessons… in reflection of how far I’ve come, in reverence of this Earth, the school of life and joys of growth. Never stop learning, finding joy in the small things, finding meaning in disappointment. Thankful for you all, your messages & well wishes.

Takes a lot of passion to develop the skill set required to feel comfortable in these steep unforgiving zones… to safely navigate them while having fun. Through the process you can’t help but develop a deep reverence for being in the mountains and sharing that love with friends.

Quick series of a tour up Castle Peak after meeting @carverculbeck in an avalanche safety course. I can’t say I’ve toured with anyone who is more at home on his splitboard whipping down a steep narrow slope. Thanks for always sharing your passion & knowledge of the mountains.
