A Music Dialogue on the Silk Road
Spanish guitar vs Chinese pipa

Two traditions, one shared language of sound.
Thanks to the vision of pipa master Zhou Yi @zhouyi.shanghailute and Thomas Torrisi @twofingertremolo , East and West blended seamlessly in a performance that reminded us how deeply music can connect us.

One audience member shared:“For a time on this Sunday, my world expanded and the worries of this world melted away. There is a wider space on earth for beauty and understanding.”

This is why we do what we do.

At Asian Arts New York, we believe art transcends boundaries and brings people together — across cultures, generations, and lived experiences.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. #music #eastmeetwest #pipa #guitar #silkroad @asianartsnewyork by @ttorrisiguitar
