Feeling the @freepmarathon vibes and support of the running community!
Not running right now really stinks but being around so many amazing people fills my heart with joy.

Seeing @toosixtyforthisrun at a wonderful Shokz event hosted by @heyderek44 was a great start. You’re gonna nail your first marathon!! Not to mention @jenmperry76 too and her cheerful smile!
Then grabbing a quick beer with @mileswithbabyniles, finally meeting him and learning about his similar running journey. Post-COVID runners unite!
The expo was really popping this year and saw so many friends. I wish them all great races tomorrow! Stay warm and rock the Motor City!

Lastly, thank you @oliviabk17 for the amazing coffee cake ❤️

Spent Sunday relaxing with @oliviabk17 - checking out the @cantonfarmersmarketmi before they closed for the season.
Enjoying time with her and getting some miles in on the new car.
After that, I dug around the car and found so many cute Easter eggs! It was like a scavenger hunt and I’m sure I missed things. Now if only I could get the Ghostbusters update! What’s the deal, @rivianofficial?

Warning: Gross picture of my runners feet
This year has been one setback after another.
I don’t know what happened yesterday but in the middle of my run, my foot started throbbing to the point where I had to stop and walk home.
It was super sore and I could barely walk.
I iced it and went on my day hoping it would get better today.
But I woke up to this… 😢
I had to go to work of course but I iced it more as much as I could and now I have my boots on to heat and compress it.
Just need some good thoughts to end these stupid injuries.

On a funny note, my manager said I matched my car and she wasn’t wrong 🤣

@saj_canton Sunday with the @cantonrunners - some of the best baked goods around, perfect for a post run fill up!
Rolled 6 miles before meeting up with the group, then cooked another 4 🔥
A beautiful rainbow also appeared above my car right before we started, that’s a good omen, right?
Anyhow, hopefully this chill day helps me start the work week smoothly!

Racing at @growlergallop is always a test of determination and seeing how tuned you are! It’s hot, no shade and you’re lucky if there’s some wind on Belle Isle. You question your decision halfway through the course but you push through to get to that finish line!
I know I couldn’t have done it without @steezxurkel and so many other great people cheering us on.
I’m also so proud to see @cantonrunners representing strong with our first team up! It won’t be our last, that’s for sure!

Good luck to all my friends running @berlinmarathon this weekend! You all inspire me so much and I’m so excited to see everyone enjoy one of the best races in the world!
@michael_runs_miles - so lucky to have met you before the Chicago marathon at a party and learning we lived near each other. Your smile always brings light to any room.
@zachhose14 - your daily posts motivate me and I’m so happy we could finally run together.
@toccoann - since we’ve met before @dxa2run you have always inspired me to be my best self and never overdo it
@mjordan5.0 - you’re one of the fastest people I know and somehow balance so many things still, we need to know your secrets!
@brown_bambi - one of the best coaches I know who can also perform so well. You’re the prime example of show and tell!

Feeling refreshed from the 50k last weekend, still getting my speed back but I’m feeling great. Kept up with the lead pack for the entire 10 miles so I’m a happy camper!

First group run in what feels like forever.
@zachhose14 invited me to join him for part of his last long run before Berlin and i couldn’t turn down an opportunity to help him! @steezxurkel being the best buddy ever, also joined us.
I can’t wait to see Zach light up Berlin, I’m so excited for him!
It felt amazing to get out and enjoy running again. I wasn’t completely pain free but I crushed 10 miles at a way better pace than I expected.
Heres to a great week leading up to Woodstock, hoping i can do it!

Feeling defeated right now, missing races and feeling like I’m losing cardio fitness.
I hate filming myself but trying my best to channel these emotions into PT and Strength Conditioning to heal my adductor and groin.
I can’t slow down, I just need to focus on my recovery 🔥💪🏻
