✨QUEEN CATHERINE PARR CELEBRATES 15 YEARS!!✨

When I started I was working for free on Official “The Tudors Wiki” which I hope is archived somewhere. The show went with “Catherine”, hence the page name.

I had been studying in London during the summer. I remember watching the last Season in London.

I loved my time at Richmond International which is named after King Henry VII.

I was oversees for the 500th Anniversaries of King Henry VIII’s Accession to the throne & Kateryn Parr’s birth. Check out my photos!!

Check out this page and @tudorqueen6 all over social media & on TikTok its @officialtudorqueen6

Thanks to everyone for the support!! Hopefully things will get easier after I’m out of family court. I am also officially DIVORCED. But I’m surviving the fall out. You think Henry was bad? You weren’t married to my ex-husband.

To look back at the 15th century is to trace a line directly through the chaotic heart of the Wars of the Roses.

My ancestors, Alice Bruyn and Sir John Heveningham, didn’t just witness history—they lived through the brutal, fast-shifting realities of a divided crown. Born under the Lancastrian reign of King Henry VI, their worlds were completely shaped by the volatile tug-of-war for the throne of England.

Alice Bruyn was the eldest daughter of Sir Henry Bruyn and Elizabeth Darcy. Her younger sister, Elizabeth, was married to Sir William Brandon who was slain by King Richard III at the Battle of Bosworth on 22 August 1485 defending Henry [Tudor].

Alice & Elizabeth were highly sought-after co-heiresses, the daughters of Sir Henry Bruyn. In medieval England, wealthy heiresses were essentially political currency. They had to navigate royal circles because the crown tightly controlled who heiresses could marry and who inherited their vast estates.

The Heavy Toll of War:
Alice’s second husband, Robert Harleston, fought on the losing side and was killed in action at the fierce Battle of Barnet in April 1471. Left widowed and politically vulnerable, Alice found protection and a new chapter when she married Sir John Heveningham later that same year under the Yorkist reign of King Edward IV.

Endurance Through Change:
Though Alice passed away in February 1473, Sir John carried their shared legacy forward. He navigated the brief, dramatic reign of King Richard III and survived the bloody transition at Bosworth Field, living well into the era of the first Tudor monarch, King Henry VII (Henry Tudor), until his own passing in 1499.

They survived targeted attainders, the loss of lands, and the literal rise and fall of kingdoms. Standing here today is a direct testament to their absolute resilience, endurance, and quiet strength to outlast the storms of history. 🌿⚔️

Saint Margaret of Scotland was consort to Malcolm III of Scotland.

St. Margaret of Scotland, or Margaret of Wessex, was an English princess born in Hungary to Princess Agatha of Hungary and English Prince Edward the Exile around 1045. Her siblings, Cristina and Edgar the Atheling were also born in Hungary around this time.

Saint Margaret of Scotland, canonized as the patron saint of Scotland, mothers, large families, and charitable works, is remembered for her deep faith, wisdom, and service to the poor. Her feast day is celebrated on November 16th. You can pray to her for personal intentions, family unity, guidance for leaders, or the well-being of Scotland and its people.

Through my lineage, she is my 26th Great-Grandmother.
Funny enough, my parents named me after Margaret before they even knew I was a descendant of hers. Story goes that they wanted to call me Margaret, but settled on Meghan instead.

Guess what! ALL SIX wives of Henry VIII descend from Saint Margaret. Some of them, like Kateryn Parr, descend from her several times!

"Heavenly Father, Thou adorned Queen Margaret of Scotland with virtue and with great love for the poor. Her speech was salted with wisdom, her silent thoughts were virtuous and holy, her whole life a pattern of virtue. Please hear my petitions (mention your intentions here) so that Thy goodness and mercy become visible in today’s world. Saint Margaret of Scotland, pray for us! Amen."

For over three years, I have been forced to watch a master manipulator systematically dismantle my family, isolate my mother, and weaponize my chronic illnesses to drive me into destitution after my abusive ex-husband left.

My mother’s husband is a malignant narcissist who has relentlessly abused me, withheld my hard-earned possessions, my violins, and my cats, and effectively banned me from seeing or speaking to my own mother.

Instead of receiving support from the people who have known me my entire life, my family chose to be brainwashed by a calculated performance. They stood by and watched as a severely disabled family member was discarded into a broken shelter system, gaslighting themselves into believing the lie that these systems “magically take care of people.”

Let me be entirely clear: they do not. I have been forced to survive in a chaotic, hostile environment for almost 7 months. And after we were moved without consent, us women were forced into a shelter that is packed with 70 women across four cramped dorms, where beds are crammed together in violation of disability laws, basic nutrition is withheld, and vulnerable residents are left starving and neglected.

When I used my voice to protest these inhumane conditions, institutional gatekeepers chose to tone-police my emails and label my survival response as “abusive” rather than address their own catastrophic failures.

I am a historian, a genealogist, and a world-class professional musician under the brand TUDORQUEEN6. I have performed globally, built my own business, and dedicated decades to public advocacy. My abusers studied my strength, mimicked my identity, and used it to play the victim card to the court system and local political circles.

They wanted to break my spirit and trap me in a perpetual cycle of defense, but they failed. I see through every single script, every lie, and every piece of performative manipulation. You cannot medicate away a hostile environment, and you cannot erase a lifetime of hard work and dedication. My history will not be rewritten by cowards.

When an independent American woman steps into a centuries-old institution, she brings a vital kind of strength. Meghan Markle represented a true breath of fresh air—breaking away from rigid, traditional expectations with her established career, authentic voice, and unwavering self-worth.

She wasn’t raised to bow to anyone because in America, we don’t have royalty. We fought a War to be rid of a King from across the pond and many of those fighting were my own ancestors. Markle’s own ancestry goes back to early America as one of her ancestors was a founder of Massachusetts—Rev William Skepper.

Wanting to see modern change and admiring someone who fights for her independence isn’t delusional—it is a reflection of a deep appreciation for resilience, autonomy, and grace under pressure. I hope their children take on these wonderful traits their mother possesses.

She was an asset to them and they didn’t realize what they had. She gave them an opportunity to modernize and become more in touch with the public. But the royal family decided to protect itself and the monarchy above all else instead of helping their own family member who was relentlessly bullied and harassed leading to suicidal ideation and a miscarriage.

Keep calm and carry on, and never apologize for knowing your worth. 👑✨

#otd in 1548, the Queen Dowager died at Sudeley Castle, days after giving birth to her only child and daughter, Mary Seymour. Kateryn died between two and three o’clock in the morning.

St. Peter’s of the Parish of Winchcombe is in the same town as Sudeley Castle where Queen Kateryn Parr spent her last few months. She gave birth to Mistress Mary Seymour on 30 August 1548. She would pass away on the 5th of September of 1548 due to post childbirth complications. It was quite an ending for our Queen.

The church is right before the bus stop at the War Memorial on Abbey Terrace. From the stop, you have to backtrack to Vineyard St which takes you up to the Gatehouse for Sudeley.

From Sudeley, I could hear bells from a church in the town. I often wonder if it was from this Church.

The Church is off Gloucester Street which turns into Abbey Terrace within a few hundred yards. Within one hundred yards, Abbey turns into High Street. High Street runs through downtown Winchcombe. Vineyard Street, that takes you to the Castle, and Abbey Terrace intersect.

I ever return, I would like to visit the Parish.
These stained glass windows photographed by Carol Kidd are gorgeous.
The window of the Apostles with Christ on a ship with angels and the Holy Spirit is absolutely stunning. The sails have words that read, “The Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” & “When thou passes through the waters, I will be with thee.”
The first phrase comes from Genesis 1:2, and the second phrase comes from Isaiah 43:2.

The Real Tragedy of Anne Beauchamp, 16th Countess of Warwick

Anne de Beauchamp was an immense heiress who inherited the colossal Beauchamp and Despenser fortunes. When she married Richard Neville (the “Kingmaker”), he only held the title of Earl of Warwick by right of his marriage to her.

Declared “Legally Dead”: After the Kingmaker was killed at the Battle of Barnet, his widow Anne expected to retain her independent inheritance. Instead, her two sons-in-law—George, Duke of Clarence and Richard, Duke of Gloucester (the future Richard III)—wanted her money.

The Ultimate Erasure: To get around the law, the brothers had Parliament pass an act in 1474 that declared the Countess of Warwick legally dead while she was still breathing. They locked her away in sanctuary at Beaulieu Abbey, stripped her of every castle and coin, and divided her inheritance between themselves. It was literal state-sponsored identity theft committed by brothers fighting over a woman’s rightfully owned property.

Good Morning from the state of Maryland in 🇺🇸 THE United States!

Maryland was founded by the Calvert family. My family, the Greene family of Bobbing, Kent, came over with Leonard Calvert—son of George, 1st Lord Baltimore—to help govern the land. Lord Baltimore had already died by 1634, so his son, Cecil, became the 2nd Lord Baltimore. Leonard was appointed the first Proprietary Governor of Maryland. Upon his deathbed in 1647, Leonard left the Province in the hands of my ancestor, Thomas Greene, who became the 2nd Proprietary Governor. His son and my ancestor, Leonard Greene, was named after him.

When George Calvert sought a royal charter in 1632, the King proposed the Latin name Terra Mariae—meaning “Mary’s Land”—to recognize the Queen, a devout Catholic. The Province was called “Maryland” after Henrietta Maria of France, the daughter of Henry IV of France and Marie de Medici.

19 JULY 1553: the Earl of Pembroke and the Earl of Arundel proclaim Mary, Queen at Baynard’s Castle where Pembroke lived.

In 1552, Pembroke’s wife, Anne Parr, died while in service to the future Queen Mary. After marrying their son and heir, Henry, to Lady Catherine Grey, who was sister to Queen Jane Grey, they put themselves in harms way when Mary came to claim her throne. To make sure they didn’t fall out of power and be taken to the Tower like William Parr, Marquess of Northampton, had been, they made sure to annul the marriage and side with the new Queen, Mary.

It is incredible how the historical record uses titles—or hides them—to suit the power dynamics of the time. While “Regent of the Realm” is often the shorthand used by modern historians for Kateryn Parr, seeing “Lady Regent” in the Letters and Papers brings that reality into focus. It’s a title that carries weight, precisely because it acknowledges that when Henry was off playing soldier in France, the actual machinery of state—supplying the army, managing domestic peace, and dealing with the Privy Council—was firmly in her hands.

It highlights exactly why she was so dangerous to the conservative faction at court. A woman who is merely a “nurse” or a “consort” can be pushed aside, but a “Lady Regent” who has proven she can actually rule is a threat to men like Bishop Gardiner. They didn’t hate her because she was “erratic”—they hated her because she was competent.
