👑 In gesprek met Nekeia, de eigenaresse van het bijzondere ijsmerk @tudyskitchen en zo’n superleuke vrouw!! Ik had nog uren met haar door kunnen praten over eten, je roeping vinden en salie brown butter cookie dough-ijs.

✨ Dankzij de open mind van Nekeia gebeuren de leukste en lekkerste dingen. Mimosa ijs bijvoorbeeld of de smaken Balsamic Blueberry en Chicken + Waffles (en nee daar zit geen kippenvlees in, wel stukjes wafel en krokante, zoutige kippenhuid 🤤).

🥥 En, heel erg cool: de smaken Salty Vanilla Bean, Chai en Coconut Latte vind je nu in Albert Heijns door heel Nederland. En als we daar nou met z’n allen heel veel van gaan eten, komen er hopelijk nog veel meer smaken bij en krijgt Nekeia op een dag een complete eigen vriesafdeling 👀🍨👑

Dit is de Ice Cream Queen van Nederland: de erg leuke Nekeia van @tudyskitchen

Tudy is de naam van haar oma uit Harlem, New York, die met haar fried chicken rijen op haar stoep veroorzaakte. In haar naam en met dezelfde liefde voor lekker eten begon Nekeia haar eigen ijs te maken 🍨🧇🍗

Ze introduceerde Mexpresso Martini, Thai Guava Crunch en Chicken & Waffle ijs in Nederland en nog 42 andere smaken. Deze vrouw is een vibe. De salie brown butter cookie dough ice cream is mijn favoriet.

Verder in haar vriezer:

Mimosa (erg lekker met cava eroverheen), Donut, Chilli Mango (met chili olie), Thai Guava Crunch, Balsamic Blueberry, Chai, Sweet Cream en meer.

Jammer genoeg sluit haar Sugarbar eind deze maand de deuren maar lucky us: je kan haar ijs nu door heel het land proeven. En ja, ook ver buiten de Randstad.

Want, sinds deze zomer proef je de smaken Salty Vanilla Bean, Chai en Coconut Latte in de Albert Heijn. En als we daar nou met z’n allen heel veel van gaan eten, komen er hopelijk nog veel meer smaken bij en krijgt Nekeia op een dag een complete vriesafdeling.

Dus waar wacht je nog op, ren nu naar de dichtstbijzijnde AH of voeg Tudy’s ijs toe aan je boodschappenlijst.

😯 Nog even een lekker en bijzonder ijs-adres voordat we terug gaan naar 14 graden en regen ☔️ en voordat deze ijssalon de deuren sluit…

👑 SUGARBAR by @tudyskitchen is een ode aan Tudy, de oma van eigenaresse Nekeia: een ijskoningin om van te houden en, mét een missie.

🌶️ Haar creatieve brein zegende dit land met Chicken & Waffle ijs. Of wat dacht je van haar ijs met salie en brown butter cookie dough. Wtf 🤤

En: haar guave-ijs wordt ook nog eens gemixt met mijn favoriete crispy chili olie: de yum phrik van @trouble.and.spice

En superleuk: Nekeia werkt samen met meer bijzondere producenten.

Haar ijssalon sluit eind deze maand de deuren dus grijp je kans…

We’re closing the doors to Sugarbar. We’re bringing an end to the yearlong concept we are calling “Sugarbar 1.0.” This journey was filled with both challenges and triumphs, and we’re incredibly proud of our perseverance to make it through. ⁠

We’ve been blessed with so many beautiful moments connecting with each of you, and our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for your love and support. Your energy has made every step worthwhile. 🙏🏽⁠

We’ve also been fortunate to make amazing business connections along the way, especially with the talented @chey.nailed.it. As we transition, she’s now searching for a new space to continue her one-of-a-kind services. If you have any leads, DM her!⁠

This is by no means a goodbye but a “see you soon.” Stay tuned for what’s next for us and for this space. Big things are coming! ✨⁠
