Today i’ve walked into five shops, and each time, I’ve noticed the same thing: gifts everywhere for the baby. I even saw a deck of cards made specifically for the baby. But when I looked for something meant just for the mother, there was almost nothing.

I love buying things for babies too. But walking through these shops, I kept thinking… what about her?

The woman whose body, identity, routines, and heart are all changing. The woman who is expected to hold so much, often while everyone’s attention turns toward the baby. The woman who deserves to feel remembered - not only as a mother, but as herself.

That’s why I made the @tunedmvmnt deck.

It’s a thoughtful, meaningful way to help mothers feel seen, supported, and connected during one of life’s biggest transitions.

Because while everyone is celebrating the baby, the mother deserves to be celebrated too. by @tunedmvmnt

Sometimes I don’t need a whole hour to myself. I just need to unclench my jaw, move my shoulders and notice how I’m actually feeling.

That’s what I wanted these cards to offer moms. Little practices to feel better in our bodies, more in tune with what we need and more present for our own lives.

Today Shante and I are figuring out how to get them into more mothers’ hands. Every idea leads to another, and I’m so excited to see where this goes 🤍

44 practices for the fourth trimester and beyond.

You can love being a mother and still miss feeling like yourself.

I made TUNED from that place. Between broken nights and caring for everyone else, I needed small moments to hear myself again. A breath. A little movement. Something that was mine.

A year later, the first decks are on their way. And I’m feeling all of it. 🥹🤍

My intention is that these cards give you a moment of your own, too. I’m in such gratitude for the hands and hearts that felt called to place an order.

We moved last week. This weekend, we had all three kids. By today, I was so exhausted I realized I’d been holding my breath just trying to keep up.

I pulled Lungs Like Wings from the ritual deck I’ve spent the last year creating. It invited me to put my hands around my lower ribs and take five slow breaths, feeling them expand into my sides and back.

I’m still tired, but afterward I felt a little more open and a little more energized. Sometimes that small shift is enough to meet the rest of the day.

The card’s mantra: “I open in every direction.” 🤎 by @tunedmvmnt

At 2 a.m., it can feel as though everything is being held together by you. The feeding, the soothing, the remembering, the listening for the next sound. Even when you sit down, some part of your body may remain on duty.

But support does not always have to be created from within you or from someone else.

Feel your feet against the floor. Notice the weight of your body meeting the chair or the bed. Let yourself register that something beneath you is carrying you, too.

The responsibility may still be yours, but for this moment, the weight does not have to be. by @tunedmvmnt

After months of dreaming, writing, rewriting, designing, editing, second guessing, refining, and waiting… the TUNED Ritual Deck is officially on its way.

There’s something surreal about watching an idea that lived in my head and heart for so long become actual boxes being loaded onto a truck.

This process has taken longer than I imagined. There were delays, changes, a million tiny decisions, and so many moments where I just wanted to hold the finished thing in my hands already.

And now they’re SHIPPED. 😭

One step closer to being in my hands… and then yours.

I cannot wait for you to experience these. 🤎 by @tunedmvmnt

FIELD NOTE 03.010

I am learning that the body often tells the truth before the mind is ready to name it. The held breath. The tightened jaw. The sudden heaviness behind the eyes. For so long, I treated these sensations as interruptions and tried to think my way past them. Now I understand them as information. The body is always in conversation with us. The practice is becoming quiet enough to hear what it has been saying. by @tunedmvmnt

Before we move, we listen. Not for an answer the mind has already prepared, but for the quieter information underneath it.

Where am I holding? What feels heavy? What wants space? What do I actually have the capacity for today?

This pause is not separate from the practice. It is what allows the practice to become a response instead of another demand.

Movement becomes more meaningful when it begins with listening, because the body does not always need to be pushed. Sometimes it needs to be noticed first. by @tunedmvmnt

At 2 a.m., the body can begin preparing for the next cry before it happens. The shoulders rise. The jaw tightens. The ribs stay lifted, as though remaining slightly braced might make the next waking easier to survive.

This is what prolonged responsibility can ask of the body: stay alert, even when you are exhausted.

But in the quiet moments between what is needed, your ribs can come down. Your exhale can lengthen. You can feel the surface beneath you and allow it to hold some of your weight.

Nothing has to be completely resolved for the body to receive a small signal that, for this breath, it does not have to carry everything alone. by @tunedmvmnt

“How do I stay with it?” This question changes our relationship with discomfort. Instead of asking the body to stop feeling anger, grief, fear, or overwhelm, we begin learning how to remain in relationship with ourselves while those feelings move through us.

We notice the tightening without becoming the tightening. We feel the urge to react without immediately obeying it. We recognize when we have reached our limit and choose support, space, breath, movement, or rest.

Staying with it does not mean forcing ourselves to endure more. It means learning how to remain present without abandoning ourselves. That is the deeper work. Not mastering the body, but learning how to stay with it. by @tunedmvmnt

We treat postpartum like an event with an ending.

A few appointments. A few weeks of help. A quick check that the body has healed.

But becoming a mother is not a moment the body simply moves on from.

Hormones continue to shift. Sleep deprivation changes how the brain processes emotion, stress, memory, and threat. The nervous system adapts to constant responsibility. Identity, relationships, and capacity are reorganized around the presence of another life.

And often, just as the support begins to disappear, the deeper rebuilding begins.

A mother does not need to be rushed back to who she was. She needs time, care, movement, rest, and space to discover who she is becoming.

Support is measured in weeks.

Rebuilding takes seasons. by @tunedmvmnt
