HYROX Birmingham 📸 59:15. A 3-minute PB and the first sub 60 of the season. Not a perfect race by any means, but plenty of positives to take away and some clear areas to improve. The running felt strong, now it's time to bring the stations up to the same standard. Next stop, Dublin. Pro Solo debut. 🇮🇪 More to give. by @turnerruns

Ministry of Sound Games - 1st Place w/@livhybridtraining Hybrid Games - 2nd Place w/@hybrid.cr Now time to lock in, deal with some niggles, build some strength, and upgrade the engine ready for the push into the Pro division next season. Goals for next season - Sub 60 Open in Birmingham - Get on the Podium throughout the season - Qualify for Hong Kong - Knocking on a Sub 60 Pro by the end of the season Let's get it 🫡 @ciaran_fit4rox - easy.....right? 🤣 by @turnerruns
Red On Backyard Ultra What an event and what an awesome experience Got exactly what I wanted out of that, push myself to a sensible point and stay injury free. I know there's a fair bit still in the tank if I was to train for one in the future but the risk outweighed the reward this year with big things coming up! 12 Yards Completed = 80.4km Huge thanks to big man @ollie_binns7 for keeping me company out there and his support crew for helping me out throughout @ciaran_fit4rox @redonevents by @turnerruns
1:10:17 | HYROX BIRMINGHAM PRO DOUBLES 🔥 Huge performance from @livhybridtraining and @_sarahpickeringpt ! Some unreal running throughout, backed up by a strong performance across the stations to finish in 1:10:17. Really proud of Liv and the work she's been putting in. Week after week, consistently turning up, executing the sessions and trusting the process. Another example of the work translating into race-day performance. Moving the needle. 📈 #StrataPerformance #HYROX #HYROXBirmingham #HybridTraining by @turnerruns
HYROX Birmingham Open Doubles with Sam 🤝 Another PB in the books, although not quite the performance we were hoping for. A few things didn't go our way, but still a strong run out and plenty of positives to take from it. Two races in two days, two PBs and a solid start to the season. Plenty to work on, plenty more to come. Next stop, Dublin for the Pro Solo debut. 🇮🇪 T Shirt @strata.athletics DROP 001 Socks @subsixtyclub Shorts @movement.athletesclub @ciaran_fit4rox @sam_evs23 by @turnerruns
HYROX Birmingham. 59:15. 3-minute PB. 🔥 Comfortably under the hour despite probably my worst sled performance to date. Had to claw some time back through the second half, but managed to finish strong and get the job done. Happy with the result, but there's definitely more to give. Some clear areas to work on before making my Pro Solo debut in Dublin in a couple of weeks. Praying to the sled gods for that one. 😂 But first, back on the start line tomorrow afternoon for Open Doubles with @sam_evs23 . Let's see what we can do. 🤝 Huge thanks to the coach @ciaran_fit4rox for the support through the off season, we ain't stopping yet 💪 by @turnerruns
2026/27 season. Here we go. 🔥 First stop, HYROX Birmingham. 9 days to go. Saturday, 08:00 | Open Solo Sunday, 16:20 | Men's Doubles with @sam_evs23 A big block of training in the bank. Now it's time to see where we're at. Plenty more races on the calendar, but first up, Birmingham. Let's get to work. 👊🏼 by @turnerruns
Final preparations underway ahead of my season opener at HYROX Birmingham. The race calendar is filling up nicely: 📍 Birmingham | Open Solo + Doubles 📍 Dublin | Pro Solo debut 📍 London | Mixed Doubles 📍 Paris | Pro Solo 📍 Manchester | Pro Solo 📍 Glasgow + more TBC Plenty to look forward to, but the focus is on Birmingham first. Time to see where the work has got me. I'm also moving to the Birmingham area shortly, so if anyone knows any decent gyms or fancies getting some sessions in together, drop me a message! 🤝 by @turnerruns
57 MINUTES FASTER. MARATHON PB. 🔥 What a day for Tanya at the Chicago Marathon! 🇺🇸 Previous PB: 4:34:38 Chicago 2026: 3:37:42 Improvement: 56 minutes 56 seconds. From a 4:34 marathon to a 3:37. A huge step forward and the result of months of consistent training, patience and commitment. It hasn't all been straightforward. There have been setbacks, adjustments and plenty of challenges along the way, but Tanya kept showing up and putting the work in. A massive performance on one of the world's biggest marathon stages. Moving the needle. 📈 #StrataPerformance #ChicagoMarathon #MarathonPB #RunningCoaching by @turnerruns
MARATHON PB. 3:09:40. 🔥 Another big performance from a Strata athlete. Nathan took on the Chester Marathon today, coming away with a new personal best of 3:09:40. A result built through months of consistent training, balancing the demands of everyday life with the work needed to keep progressing. 42.2km where preparation meets execution. Another PB on the board. Another step forward. Moving the needle. 📈 #StrataPerformance #ChesterMarathon #MarathonTraining #RunningCoach #MarathonPB by @turnerruns
3 MINUTES 41 SECONDS. 6 WEEKS. 📈 Stockholm Half Marathon ➝ 1:34:51 Oxford Half Marathon ➝ 1:31:10 A huge performance from Ella, taking 3:41 off her half marathon time in just 6 weeks and 1 day. Consistent training, purposeful sessions and a commitment to the process. It hasn't all been straightforward, but the progress speaks for itself. Another big step towards that sub-90 target. Moving the needle. 📈 #StrataPerformance #HalfMarathon #RunningCoach #OxfordHalf #RunningProgress by @turnerruns
3 weeks until HYROX Birmingham. Season opener. 🔥 Quite a lot changing behind the scenes at the moment. After finishing my training in Cheltenham, I'm moving to Birmingham to take the next step in my career as an Air Traffic Controller. With that comes more responsibility, new pressures and a completely different routine. Going from a standard Monday to Friday to a 6 on, 4 off shift pattern, including night shifts eventually. It's going to take some adjusting. Training, recovery, nutrition, coaching and life in general will all need to fit around a new schedule. Discipline and adaptability are going to be more important than ever. A big part of that is understanding the balance between hard and easy training days. Hard sessions provide the stimulus for improvement, but it's the recovery between them that allows us to adapt and actually get fitter. Constantly pushing hard doesn't necessarily mean faster progress. Often, it just means accumulating fatigue that compromises the quality of your next session. The aim is to make the hard days count and keep the easy days genuinely easy. With shift work, that becomes even more important. Sleep, stress and recovery won't always be consistent, so training intensity and volume will sometimes need adjusting rather than blindly following a schedule. Not every week will look the same, and that's fine. The goal is to create a new normal that allows me to stay consistent, productive and keep progressing, both professionally and athletically. And that's exactly how I approach my coaching. Training should work around your life, not require your entire life to revolve around training. I've currently got 2 spaces available for online coaching. 🏃‍♂️ If you're looking for structured, individualised training that accounts for your work, lifestyle and recovery, drop me a message. Once those spaces are filled, I'll be closing applications for a little while as I settle into the new routine. 3 weeks to Birmingham. Time to get the season underway. 👊 by @turnerruns
