7th and final day on Wicklow Way. Just got better and better - the scenery here is stunning. Ended at Tinehely which a lot of people do although the official last stage is another 35km of mostly road walking. by @tweetadean

Day 6 - wet walking on the Wicklow Way. Short day - 4 hours - couldn’t see much. Glenmalure was the stalking ground for Irish rebel Michael Dwyer whose life is remembered here. Great pub, friendly, Irish coffee. 👍 by @tweetadean

Day 5 of Wicklow Way - Laragh to Glenmalure - 5 hour hike starting on the gorgeous Green Way and rising over the mountain to Glenmalure the longest glacial valley in Ireland. It was supposed to be wet but ended up being hot and hard underfoot the last 3 miles. Probably had a bit too much from the flask also if truth be told 😈 by @tweetadean

Day 4 of Wicklow Way. 4.5 hour hike to Laragh in low cloud. Day’s highlights - coming to the monastic settlement at Glendalough with the 6-storey bell tower built to resist marauders. Incredible how buildings made a millennium ago are still intact. Also came across a Hollywood horror film being made - called Carnival we think. Ron Perlman was in the hotel on Tuesday so we’re guessing he’s in it. by @tweetadean

Day 3 of Wicklow Way. Rest day - exploring Lough Dan with an amazing sandy beach. Not a sound apart from gentle lapping of waves. Lovely bottle of field blend wine from Tenerife that I bought in Edinburgh as our obligatory emergency holiday wine. by @tweetadean
