A new Cecily Brown etching makes its debut this week! We’re excited to present “A nursery rhyme” at The Armory Show, opening Thursday.

Drawing on the strange and familiar world of nursery rhymes, Brown lets characters and fragments emerge and disappear across a densely worked surface. She has described nursery rhymes as both “scary” and “joyful, exuberant” - a mixture of humor, menace, action, and fantasy that finds a natural counterpart in the shifting space of the print.

Two Palms is pleased to debut Josh Safdie’s first fine art print, a list of essential New York City films and a meditation on cinema, memory, and the city he calls home.

What began as a definitive list of ten films quickly expanded into what Safdie calls “112 of the top 10 NYC films.” Titles are added, crossed out, squeezed between entries, and organized through different pens and unexplained systems of highlighting. Safdie’s criterion is less about where a film was shot than whether it captures the “essence of NYC”—the specificity of a street or neighborhood, a smell or feeling, or the sense that the world on screen continues beyond the frame.

Built from a twenty-color silkscreen with collage, rubber stamping, crackle paint, enamel, and hand painting, the print preserves the revisions and physical character of Safdie’s original list. Part classification system and part self-portrait, it becomes a layered record of taste, memory, and Safdie’s enduring relationship with New York and its cinema.

This work will be on view in our booth at The Armory Show, September 24–27, at the Javits Center in New York. See you there! taken in New York, New York by @twopalmsny

We’ve landed in Miami and are thrilled to be exhibiting a new body of monotypes and drawings from acclaimed artist Amy Sillman this week @artbasel. In these new works, each sheet becomes a site of thought in motion, where gestures are laid down, revised, and reimagined. The result is a dynamic equilibrium between figure and ground, control and release, revealing the artist’s thought as it takes shape on the page.

Art Basel Miami Beach opens on Wednesday, Dec 3. Come see us in booth D29 ✨

Dan Nadel’s “R. Crumb: The Biography,” has been named one of The New Yorker’s Best Books of 2025. The tome offers a deeply researched, unsparing portrait of the underground comics icon, tracing his life, influences, contradictions, and six decades of boundary-pushing art with clarity, context, and emotional complexity.

Want more Crumb? “R. Crumb: Tales of Paranoia” is now on view at David Zwirner Los Angeles offering new drawings, fresh etchings made with Two Palms, and a rare sketchbook providing an unfiltered look into Crumb’s late-career imagination. The exhibition is on view through January 10, 2026. by @twopalmsny
