Follow or unfollow, working mum edition!
We’re certainly not everyone’s cup of tea, but know our tribe of superhero working mums are out there somewhere! by @twotiredmums_

We’ve spent the last few months putting everything we know about leaving employment into one honest, practical workbook. Not motivational. Not vague. Just the questions you actually need to answer before you make the leap, written by two founders who’ve done it. Link in bio. by @twotiredmums_

Elsie and I spent two years creating Rayro after one too many evenings chasing a screaming toddler around the bathroom with a beige bottle of moisturiser. The result is a range of natural balm sticks in collectable character packs, designed so that little ones can apply them themselves, whether it's bedtime, a snuffly cold or dry winter cheeks. When a stick runs out, you simply refill it and keep the character.

PART 2: follow along for more home truths from two (very tired) working mums not afraid to ruffle a few feathers 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ by @twotiredmums_

The last one is GENIUS (if I do say so myself 🥴). I’m by no means a tech whizz, but this was really easy to setup as automations that are scheduled to run and I cannot tell you how much it relieves my weekly mental load - all the admin that used to live in my head now lives somewhere else 💁‍♀️ by @twotiredmums_

How did two women who met in sales end up interviewing the Business Secretary? It started in 2012. Since then we have built three businesses, written a book, run a blog and become mothers. Sharing what working motherhood looks like is how Two Tired Mums grew, and what you told us again and again was that working mothers need a voice.

Last week we took that to the Business Secretary. Swipe for the story! by @twotiredmums_

“Breast pump on one side, private equity on the other.” 💬

Building a household name isn’t always as polished as it looks on the timeline. This Thursday on Her Next Move: The Podcast, the co-founders behind @heyrayro get completely real about what it takes to scale fast.

From bucking industry trends to land major global retailers, to navigating high-stakes investor calls while managing early motherhood, they’re laying out the unfiltered reality of making bold business moves.

🗓️ Episode 3 drops this Thursday!

Cheers to ruffling some feathers! Hit follow if this resonates and see you later if it doesn’t 👋 Just a couple of working mums calling out the deep rooted, systemic failures that lead to our lives being that tiny bit harder! by @twotiredmums_

Yesterday was a big day. We had a really important conversation with our current Secretary of State about employment law, flexible working, descrimination of mothers in the workplace, parental leave, statutory maternity pay and the updated pregnancy loss policy. WHEW! #workingmum #flexibleworking #parentalleave by @twotiredmums_

Please send us your questions, comments and experiences of working parenthood!

Tomorrow we’re interviewing Jonathan Reynolds, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade, about the Employment Rights Act 2025 and what it means for working mothers. We spend every day talking to working mums about what is and isn’t working for them. We know that so many of you don’t fully understand what you’re entitled to as a parent in the workplace. Tomorrow, we get to take that straight to the department in charge of that.

His department sets the rules on parental leave, flexible working, maternity protections and the new leave for pregnancy loss due in 2027. If you’ve had leave you couldn’t take, a flexible working request that got turned down, or a return to work that didn’t go to plan, we want to hear it.

Zig and Star was founded by Ali McAleavy, a mum of three who left her job as Head of Buying at Topshop because she couldn't find shoes worth buying for her own children. She made them herself in gold certified leather with natural rubber soles, and the school shoe has a hidden midsole that lifts out to give an extra half size of growing room.

Ours have had months of school runs and playground wear, and they have held up better than anything else we have tried.

When the founder is also the customer, she already knows where every other product has let her down, and I think mum-founded brands deserve far more of our spending than they currently get. Tell me the ones you rate in the comments, because I would like to feature more of them here.
