Love it or think it tastes like soap, cilantro is Texas' newest superstar plant! 🌿

Also called coriander or Chinese parsley, this low-maintenance herb thrives in the cooler months and grows fast. Let a few plants go to seed, and they'll often replant themselves for next year.

Leonard Haynes is an AgriLife Extension agent in Donley County whose heart is in working with young people, though his days stretch well beyond that into any area his community needs him most.

Leonard brings hands-on programs to schools across his community, giving kids a chance to learn by doing. He also makes time for landowner visits and helping producers work through tough seasons.

For Leonard, the impact shows up in the long run. It's the peanut producers he helped find a path forward after a new plant disease threatened their crop. It's the first grade teachers who look forward to his visit every year, and it's the former 4-H kids who are now bringing their own children into the program.

Get to know your local county Extension agent and see how they're making a difference where you live: tx.ag/MyCountyAgent.
