POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s easy to tell you the parts of our stories we’re proud of.
These aren’t those parts.

#RUINED #AfterTheFear #RUINEDMembership #WhyNotToJoin #Foundations by @ty.bastian

RU/NED Membership registration opens October 1. Membership begins in November.

And no, it’s not for everyone.
It’s for people who want to build something. Change something. Get better at something. And would rather do it around other people who are doing the same.

What is “Ruined”

A project to help as many people navigate life’s most challenging events, the ones that threaten to “ruin” us, by focusing on who we become after.

Community: Events. Memberships, People.

Lifestyle: Self Improvement. Clothing. Art.

Coaching: Online Academies. Live Workshops.

More to come…. Stay tuned. by @ty.bastian

There are things we’ve done that don’t come with a clean ending.
No explanation that makes them okay.
No lesson that makes them worth it.
No amount of growth that makes them unhappen.
We can own who we are now without rewriting who we’ve been.
So we’re not going to.
Another reason not to join RU/NED.

We knew what we were agreeing to when we started this series.

Say the parts out loud that would be easier to leave out.

Not because they make us more interesting.

Not because everything deserves to be forgiven.

And definitely not because owning something erases it.

It doesn’t.

But if we’re going to ask people to do honest work inside RU/NED, we don’t get to build the place from behind carefully edited versions of ourselves.

So we’re still going.

Here’s another reason not to join us.

Maybe we’re not your people.

Maybe we’re not the ones you should be learning from.

We’ve made mistakes. We’ve failed. We’ve gotten things wrong. And we’re still figuring plenty of shit out.

But we believe there’s something powerful about bringing imperfect people together who are willing to look in the mirror and do the work.

We’re building something around that belief.

Tomorrow night, we’re opening up the conversation.

Come hear what Ruined is about, meet the people behind it, ask whatever you want, and decide for yourself. by @ty.bastian

Social media is weird.

You see two people in love. Perfect photos. Adventures. Smiles. A relationship that looks like it has everything figured out.

But thinking that’s the whole story? Total bullshit.

I love these photos. And I love Lib more than I know how to explain.

But behind them are real struggles. Grief, loss, difficult seasons, arguments, and times we’ve felt more disconnected than we’d like to admit.

I’ve spent most of my adult life teaching people how to lead, communicate, and have difficult conversations.

Yet with the person I love most, I still struggle to do those very things.

I struggle to be present. To listen. I emotionally shut down when I’m triggered.

Turns out it’s a lot easier to teach emotional intelligence than to practice it when your own emotions are involved.

Old wounds, fears, and past experiences have a way of showing up in relationships.

We both go to individual therapy. We’re learning to understand ourselves and each other better. To communicate honestly, listen without defending, and stay vulnerable when everything in us wants to pull away.

Some seasons we’re good at that. Others, not so much.

We’re not the perfect couple in these pictures.

We’re two imperfect people who love each other deeply and are still figuring some things out.

The photos are real.

The love is real.

But so are the struggles. by @ty.bastian
