Tyler Perry is selling his palatial Beverly Hills eatate, but its wildest story has nothing to do with Hollywood 🏡

In 2004, Perry bought 22.5 acres in Beverly Ridge Estates for $4.3 million and spent eight years building a nearly 25,000-square-foot Mediterranean estate.

Then in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle fled royal life, and Perry secretly offered them his mansion and private security for free.

But after just a couple months, the Daily Mail exposed their location, and paparazzi began flying drones over the property, trying to photograph their son Archie.

The estate even became the setting for Archie’s first steps before the family relocated to Montecito, CA.

Now Tyler Perry is preparing to move to Puerto Rico, and selling his 9-bedroom, 15-bathroom compound, asking $57 million.

Culver City produced some of Hollywood’s most famous movies, including The Wizard of Oz, Gone with the Wind and Citizen Kane...but it all started with 93 acres of barley fields, and an ambitious LA transplant 🎬
In 1913, Harry Culver purchased the land for $370,000, planning to build an entire town named after himself. But he needed a reason for people to move there.

So he offered silent-film mogul Thomas Ince 16 acres for free to build a movie studio.

It worked. Culver City incorporated in 1917 and became the “Heart of Screenland.”

But after Culver City’s manufacturing industry went belly up, leaving the city littered with abandoned factories, Culver City’s creative spirit saved the day yet again.

Today, Sony, Amazon, MGM and many more have major operations in Culver City, with Apple building its massive new headquarters here. All giving Culver City one of the highest concentrations of creative jobs in the country.

Casa Encantada has broken the record for the most expensive home ever sold in America TWICE, but what’s even wilder is its origin story. 🏡

Built in 1937 for former nurse Hilda Boldt Weber, the 40,000-square-foot Bel Air estate cost more than $2 million to build during the Great Depression.

But after Weber lost much of her fortune, she sold it to Conrad Hilton for just $225,000.

Then the house started setting records.

David Murdock bought it for $12.4 million in 1980, followed by Gary Winnick for $94 million in 2000, both record-setting U.S. home sales.

Winnick later tried to sell it for $250 million.

Instead, after his death and a foreclosure battle, Casa Encantada sold at auction in 2026 for $130 million to billionaire Peter Thiel.

Jean Harlow was Hollywood’s original Blonde Bombshell. And her Holmby Hills estate rose almost as fast as her star ⭐️

Completed in 1932, the exquisite Jean Harlow Estate was built in just 10 weeks, in part to divert attention away from her husband’s death scandal.

Behind gates on 1.32 private acres, the home has all the Old Hollywood details: marble fireplaces, crown molding, a glass conservatory, a hidden Prohibition-era bar, a pool with its original diving board, tennis court, koi ponds, greenhouses and a detached pool house.

After moving in, Harlow went on to make some of her biggest films, including “Red Dust”, “Bombshell”, and “Dinner at Eight”.

Now, nearly 90 years after her death, one of LA’s most famous surviving Old Hollywood estates is back on the market for $15.9 million.

No better place to start spooky season than Hollywood’s Magic Castle. 🎃🎩👻

The Gothic mansion was built in 1909 as Holly Chateau, but more than 50 years later, magician brothers Milt and Bill Larson transformed it into a clubhouse to fulfill their late father’s dream.

The Magic Castle opened in 1963, and today it’s considered the world mecca of magic, with secret rooms, a séance chamber, rare magic books dating back to the 1500s, and a hidden entrance behind a bookcase opened by giving a password to an owl.

The catch? You can’t just buy a ticket.
You either have to be a member, or get invited by one.

The Stanley House was inspired by John Lautner, James Bond, and Grand Theft Auto…with design by Lenny Kravitz 🎸

Kravitz curated everything from the landscaping and lava rock to the furniture, art and finishes. And he eventually loved the house so much he lived there for several months.

Hidden Hills was once a sleepy horse town on the edge of the San Fernando Valley. Then the Kardashians moved in. 🐎🏡

Founded in 1949, Hidden Hills was designed as a rural escape from LA, with acre-plus lots, white rail fences, bridle trails instead of sidewalks, and four-bedroom homes selling for under $50,000.

Then in 2010, Kris Jenner bought a $4 million Mediterranean mansion that became one of the most recognizable homes on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Kim and Kanye, Kylie and Khloé followed, helping turn the tiny gated city into “Kardashian Country” and attracting celebrities from Drake to Madonna.

Now Kris has listed that original mansion for $13.5 million.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is finally here! Opening tomorrow in LA’s Exposition Park…and you might mistake it for a space ship 🛸

But it was originally supposed to be in San Francisco, until the proposal was rejected, and then Chicago, which was derailed by a lawsuit 🧑‍⚖️

Finally in 2017, Lucas chose LA, across the street from the USC film school he once attended 🎥

The $1 billion museum holds ‘Star Wars’ memorabilia, works by Norman Rockwell and Frida Kahlo, original comics and more.

LA gave the museum a 99-year lease on public land with base rent of just $30 a year, with construction privately funded by Lucas himself 🖼️
