Maldives | NYE 26’

This NYE I secured the 124’ Ark Noble Explorer for the peak week of the year. No honeymoon villas. No buffet lines. No waiting for dive boats. Just us and our own itinerary.

The Itinerary: We aren’t sitting by a pool. We are chasing the wild across 4 atolls:

🦈 Mornings: Free diving with Whale Sharks, Mantas, and 50+ Nurse Sharks (No crowds).

🌊 Afternoons: Private surf breaks, wakeboarding, spear fishing for lunch, and jet skiing in the open ocean.

People see a beach photo and assume you’re escaping reality.

But the ultimate flex isn’t taking a two-week vacation to run away from a chaotic business. It’s building a reality you don’t need to hide from.

I’m walking this beach on a Wednesday, and my phone is completely silent. Not because I put it on ‘Do Not Disturb’ to ignore fires back home, but because the business is running itself. The machine is doing the heavy lifting.

This level of peace wasn’t an accident. It was paid for upfront. It was bought with 3 months locked in an apartment, working 18-hour days, watching the same Disney movie on repeat to stay sane before ever opening our doors, or making our first sale. It was paid for by skipping casual Friday nights for years because I was terrified of staying stagnant, w/ a healthy dose of social anxiety.

Most people want the view. Very few want to build the architecture required to actually enjoy it.

Our company will do over $100k in sales today and my phone won’t ring once. It’s not because I’m lucky. It’s because I’m not in the system, the way we designed it.

For years, I was the employee who cared too much. I took every call, handled every fire. That chaos almost broke me. This quiet is the result. For a long time, I thought travel was about leisure. I thought success was about comfort. But leisure just confirms what you know. Adventure destroys it.

I’ve worked my ass off to build a company and a life of access. But nothing I’ve built compares to the feeling of drifting silently with schools of Hammerhead sharks, watching spotted eagle rays dance around you, diving with Marine Iguanas, or watching Orcas break the surface at golden hour.

It’s an aquarium without glass. It’s a childhood dream realized. And honestly, it’s a powerful thing to work hard to become “big” in the real world, only to jump in the water and realize how small you actually are.

On paper, we’re a remodeling company.

We fix roofs. We paint walls. We replace windows. That’s the business model.

But that’s not the truth.

The truth is, 2025 wasn’t about construction. It was about alchemy. It was about taking a group of strangers and turning them into a fortress.

To the team that knocked the doors when their feet hurt, drove the late-night miles, and picked each other up when the weight got heavy: You didn’t just build houses this year. You built a legacy.

I got into Innerbloom because I believed in the vision. What I didn’t see coming was how much it would hit home for me. My relationship with alcohol has always been up and down, fun until it wasn’t.

This weekend showed me it was never really about the alcohol. I just wanted connection, something in my hand, a way to ease into the moment. I thought that’d be impossible to replace, especially at a four-day festival.

I showed up with cases of White Claw, came home with those same cases untouched. Instead, I spent the weekend present, laughing, remembering the nights, and feeling better than ever.
