It’s an honour to name Tyler Randell as our new Captain of the Orangeville Blitz.

Tyler’s leadership, both on and off the ice is well received by everyone. Tyler and the rest of the leadership group will lead us through the next journey of our Semi-Pro hockey league. We couldn’t have asked for a better leader, mentor, and even better person for this role.

We have faith that he will lead the team to our first championship for this town, and community.

Congratulations Tyler! 🩵🧡🤍 by @tylerrandell64

The Orangeville Blitz are proud to officially announce former NHL player and Boston Bruins Alumni, Tyler Randell, as our Vice President of Player Development.

Tyler starred with the @ohlrangers before living out his childhood dream of being drafted by the @nhlbruins and playing professional hockey at the highest level, the NHL.

Now, he brings that experience, passion, and leadership to the Orangeville Blitz.

Tyler understands today’s game and what it takes for players to transition from junior hockey to the professional level. From on-ice development, video sessions, gym training, hockey IQ, and accountability, Tyler knows how to push players to maximize their potential.

What makes Tyler special is not just his hockey résumé, it’s his ability to connect with players. He’s calm, composed, understanding, patient, and highly relatable. He knows the grind of a long season. He understands the pressure, the adversity, the sacrifices, and the mental side of chasing a dream. He knows how to communicate with young athletes and guide them into becoming young professionals.

This is more than hockey for Tyler, it’s his passion!

To every player considering becoming part of the Orangeville Blitz family, understand this; you will be coached, pushed, developed, challenged, and mentored by someone who has truly been there.

We are beyond excited to have someone who has truly walked the walk, helping lead the next generation of players in Orangeville.

Welcome Tyler 👊 by @tylerrandell64

Work that catch and release! Whether you’re the late forward on the rush, or a D sneaking in finding that open ice. It is crucial to dial in a quick and accurate release!
