“The hardest part was, without me playing, a lot of people just fell off. Not because they were on my coattails, but because they didn’t know how to handle the situation.” ⚾💭

MLB All-Star @tysonross_38 missed 90% of a season and faced an 8 to 10 month rehab with no guarantee he’d ever pitch again. The pain was real. The uncertainty was real. But what hit hardest was the silence.

People didn’t know how to separate Tyson the person from Tyson the baseball player. So they stopped checking in.
Here’s the thing: you don’t need to talk about the injury. Ask what they had for dinner. Ask how the weather is. Just show up. 🙌🏾

And if that’s tough to handle as a pro, imagine a sixth grader trying to get through recess without hurting their arm any further. Every athlete’s career ends someday. The ones who make it through injury and that ending best are the ones who know who they are outside the game.

🎧 Full episode of Beyond the Game drops Friday, 10/16 on all podcast platforms and YouTube. Link in bio.
Check in on an injured athlete today.

The biggest wins happen BEFORE THE FIELD!

Congratulations to our two top performers from the Before The Field pilot study! 🏆

These athletes separated themselves from the pack by doing something simple but powerful: consistently showing up.

They put in the work between the ears to elevate their performance between the lines. 💪

As a reward for their commitment, both will receive a custom Loyal To My Soil glove!

Huge thank you to @beforethefield for partnering with us to provide young athletes and families with tools to strengthen their mental game.

Talent matters. Consistency separates.

Keep showing up. Keep growing. Stay LOYAL. 👑

“I’m paying $250 a week for hitting lessons. Why’d you go 0 for 4?” ⚾😬
Parents, this one’s for you.

On Beyond the Game, MLB All-Star and @dodgers Special Assistant to Player Development and Performance Tyson Ross (@tysonross_38) gets real about where youth sports pressure often comes from: home. There’s a whole industry selling families the dream and feeding off their FOMO about showcases, scholarships, and going pro.

Tyson’s dad was his coach from tee ball through 13. No fancy price tag. Just a bucket of wiffle balls in the garage and a parent who showed up. 🙌🏾

The reps that matter most are the ones that are intentional and present. Your kid needs a parent before they need another trainer. That’s how confident, resilient athletes get built.

That’s also why we love what Tyson is doing with Loyal To My Soil (@loyaltomysoil_org): free baseball clinics that give kids access to the game without the price tag. 🌱

The older I get, the more I realize the best rounds of golf aren’t about the score. ⛳️❤️

What a day celebrating 30 years of golf @sanjuanoaks ! First time playing this incredible course, and I can confidently say it’s a hidden gem in Northern California. 🔥

But the best part? Getting to tee it up with my pops and his crew.

More than anything, golf gives us an excuse to spend time together, compete a little, laugh a lot, and make memories.

That’s exactly why I got my dad a @futuregolf membership. More opportunities to get out, explore new courses, and enjoy the game together.

More access. More golf. More memories. 🏌🏾‍♂️🤝

Because the best investment in golf isn’t always a new club. Sometimes it’s another round with your dad.
